Nice pickup for the Falcons. I mean what else do they need on defense besides a FS and another DE?

At DE, we are more or less gonna rock what we have. We will likely draft a pure rusher, but we will likely start Brooks Reed and Derrick Shelby/Adrian Clayborn with Vic Beastly starting at Sam and moving down to play more at DE than OLB.

On roster we have: Vic Beasley, Derrick Shelby, Adrian Clayborn, Jack Crawford, and Courtney Upshaw who plays both DT and DE and same with some other guys.

We don't have a starting RG or FB right now, also we don't have a single backup OT which is scary. We have some spots to fill for sure.

FS isn't even a need. Ricardo Allen is a solid starter. We could use another edge rusher. I'd be willing to bet we either go edge rusher or Forrest Lamp if he's avaliable at 31.

Really exicited about Poe. Been one of my favorite players. Fills our biggest need on defense. One more edge rusher and this defense should be legit top 10 this season.

He really had some Poe judgment of what his market looked like.

All this team needs is another edge rusher. Guard. Fullback. And then depth. Good future ahead. Would love for us to resign freeney.

Wanted him on the Jags but can't blame him for picking the Falcons.

Hopefully we go after Hankins after he drops his asking price. Has ties to Coughlin so I could see it happening.

Anyone disappointed he didn't sign with Baltimore? I mean come on the Raven-Poe jokes would be endless.

I find it crazy just how much talk there was two weeks ago about how many huge contracts we were going to see handed out, only for there to be a fair amount of players being forced to take 1-year, prove-it deals.

For real, before the season I would guess it was a 70-30 split to keep Poe over Berry.

After the season I'm not sure many even wanted to keep Poe if it was anything over 5-6 Mil. We ran his body into the ground.

I'll be cheering for him though, he's a stand up guy and I really think he just needs his snaps limited.

Luckily for him he landed in the one place that does that more than almost anyone. We have a heavy rotation on our D-line. I would be surprised if anyone on it played more than 60% of the snaps outside of maybe Beasley. Most people will be around 40 to 50% to keep them healthy and fresh.

Falcons top 10 defense?? That defense is dreadful, granted they have been slightly improving but I don't think that defense is anything close to a top 10 D.
