Niners just resigned Dujuan Harris to a one year deal.

I can dig it, Harris competes. His fumble issues are correctable and he's a good receiver. Benchmark for incoming rookies/udfa in camp

I don't get why people have good things to say about Harris. He's a 5-year NFL player with barely over 500 yards total in those 5 season, and only one single run over 25 yards in his career. He looked better than Draughn, but that's an incredibly low bar to compare him to. To me he's just a warm body holding down a spot till we can get a guy with actual NFL talent in there. I'm hoping we draft a RB in the first four rounds this year.

A lot more people have said a lot more good things about Draughn these last couple of years, and I didn't get it either. Signing Harris is a total non-move. We're no better and no worse than we were yesterday.

He's a pretty irrelevant player by every measure but he's got a skillset that you have to like. Over 200lbs and runs a 4.3. That game against New Orleans he went crazy so its more you can say for a guy like Mike Davis or LaMichael James. Plus theres something about runningbacks with dreadlocks, you gotta have one on your team and I dont think Zak Keasey is in the league anymore.

I feel like he's pretty talented with the ball in his hand. I've been far more impressed with him than the other back ups we've had the last few years. I never felt like Harris' issues getting on the field had anything to do with how he carries the ball. Assuming its more or less everything else Laughing

The #49ers have agreed to terms with former Saints RB Tim Hightower, GM John Lynch announces. @JohnLynch49ers

Hyde/Hightower/Harris/Davis

And we will probably draft one at some point as well.

A few years ago, a radio station here in Québec City did some kind of hockey pool, where they'd have categories, and you'd choose one player in each, and whoever got the most points at the end of the year would win a prize. Well, there was one category that was "Guillaume Latendresse: Yes or no?", and most people chose "no", because why not. He ended up having around 25 points, or something like that. But people just generally disliked him or just didn't believe in him. I chose "no" because I thought it was hilarious, and I didn't think I'd win anyway, I didn't care enough. It feels like this with Mike Davis. Yes or no? Meh, who cares anymore.

Don't forget Raheem Mostert - averaging 6 yards per carry in his NFL career.

... see Forge that's how I can mis-use stats when I want to.

You do it enough as is. You don't need to add instances just to placate me Laughing

But seriously, we may never share the same opinion, but at least you make for a good forum poster, so I have nothing but love for you, buddy Smile

I've found a whole lot of things to agree with you on this particular off season. Don't really remember past years so much.

I don't see us going the FA route for some reason. I could see us doing something in the draft, but for some reason, I just feel like we won't do it with FA. I think we will take a chance with Robinson / Reaser / Ward (?) / Redmond / and Williams.

Third player released for this nonsense from our team. Baalke sure had a specific type of guy, didn't he?

I believe Sam Shields, Alteraun Verner, Brandon Flowers, Leon Hall, Jerraud Powers and of course Darelle Revis are all still available. Wouldn't mind a veteran presence like Shields or Hall being brought in, don't know if any of the other guys really offer much difference from what we have or fit the scheme well.
