Could still be back as a Viking though. Not sure many of us want him back unless its under $4M a year.

Rick Spielman, Vikings GM: “We will continue to have conversations with his representatives."

Actually hoping he comes to the Cowboys for the right price.

I don't think anyone expects him to be back, and very few want him back.

He's done. Hope he retires instead of going out there looking like a shell of himself.

That's not going to happen. Dude thinks he still has 5 good years left.

Oh what a joy it was to watch Peterson back when he was good.

Quote:
Statement to me from Adrian Peterson: "It’s been a great 10 years with the Minnesota Vikings. They know what I bring to the organization as a player, with my work ethic and dedication. I spoke with Rick Spielman this past weekend. The door is still open to find some common ground. I understand addressing the offensive line is one of their main priorities this offseason. In the meantime, I will explore my other options and see what path God leads me on. My main goal remains the same: to win a Super Bowl championship with a great team, which I also believe we have in Minnesota."

Takes a jab at the O-Line, promotes himself, leaves door open for returning to Minnesota.

Peterson had a HOF career in MN, great legacy. Smart move for the Vikes to move on, injuries have taken its toll it seems. The cap space will be huge for improving the OL. I'd like to see him in the AFC, maybe Indy?

AP is the bad combo of old, with an injury history and not much of a factor as a receiver.

He most likely has something left, but this is pretty much a later career Emmitt Smith we're looking at, and those were some depressing late Cowboys / Cardinals years.

I don't know what a team will offer him, but it probably shouldn't be all that much honestly.

Give him to any AFC team that run's high shotgun numbers so that we most likely won't face them, and we can watch him struggle out of shotgun. I'd love to see him get overpaid by some team like Oakland.

we have a OL in Oakland, a QB that does more than check down and 2 backs that can take the shotgun runs/ 3rd down plays off his plate. Oakland would be a perfect fit, and when is the last time Oakland overpaid anyone? If Reggie can swing another smart/team friendly deal, AP in Oakland could work.
