Simple Question. I think everybody can assume Garrett is #1. The better question is what happens at #12. Do you think we trade up? Down? Stay? AND who are your TOP 3 OPTIONS of what you THINK the Browns will do at #12 and who you think their pro comps are if they pan out.

Mine, I think we stay at 12 and here are my top 3 options

1) Gareon Conley-- He will be the best CB in this draft 3 years from now. Technique is elite despite non elite athleticism. Cant go into next year with injury prone Haden and JAGs. Pro comp= Chris Harris
2) Reuben Foster-- Adds nasty and identity. Foster and Kirksey in the middle to shoot gaps while Collins roams. Pro Comp= Vontaze Burfict
3) OJ Howard--Great building block for future and helps young QB. Pro Comp= Greg Olsen

I think they will TRY to move down, bit if they stay I think their target would be OJ Howard.

He's a mismatch who is as complete of a TE prospect as I can remember. He's looks like a 10 year, high level starter. I'll take that.

I think there are a lot of very good prospects who may be available at 12 but Howard is one of the few great propsects who may be there.

I think that they move it personally in either:

1. A trade for a QB (Cousins, Jimmy)

2. A trade up with some of their other draft picks. Our FO has said that we view them not only for potential players in a draftable position but ammunition (press conference in 2016)

3. A trade down in a swap for more draft picks in 2017 and future picks in 2018. Every year someone like Tunsil falls for whatever reason and someone gets itchy in the teens to come swooping in to get him when they thought he'd be long gone. If our guy isn't there, this is 100% what we'd do if our guy isn't there, and we'd get about 125 cents on the dollar for it too.

My darkhorse pick on what I think we will do is still drafting our 2 1sts this year and trading back into the 1st a 3rd time (late twenties) if Trub/Watson falls to draft him and get that 5th year option. No idea why...just a gut feeling.

Yep, exactly. I could definitely see us trading #33 and a 3rd/4th to move up into the late twenties to get exactly that...although I think if that's the case it will be for a QB specifically.

Is it to much to ask for one of the Safeties to fall? Would love that.

If not, give me either: Mahomes, Howard, or trade down.

I think we make a move up for one of the safeties.

Then move down from we to recoup the picks we used to move up.

What if our move is "down" to ensure that we get one of the safeties, then hope that 1B (C) Barnett is there at 12?

We would have even more ammo to come up and get someone at the tail end of the 1st, if they start to fall towards us.

I think if there is a player we love there at 12 we will stay.
My guess based on need and players they seem to like is the following (in no particular order)...

Jonathan Allen
Jamal Adams
Malik Hooker
Mitch Trubisky
Leonard Fornette

I think if one of those 5 guys are there we stay at 12.
If they are all gone, we look to trade down.

Thats my hope/gut feeling

Moving up for a Safety would be ballsy. I cant see that with other great options being there at #33 with Obi/Chidobe/Baker who can all play FS.

If anything if we make a move for a Safety, I think we trade UP from #33 into the back half of the 1st round if they really like Obi/Awuzie/Baker and dont think they will make it to the 2nd round.

The only way I see us trading UP from 12 is for a QB they have their eyes on.

I think we trade it, and trade DOWN. I believe the target would be a range where we can get another 2018 1st, so late 20s.

It just can't be with a team who looks like a lock to have a good season though.

But I think they will try hard to make something like that happen. If we trade UP from 12, i can't see it being more than a 2-3 pick upgrade if one of the top 3-4 guys falls to pick 9 or 10.

We draft Garrett at #1 (out on a limb there).
We trade back from 12 for another 2018 1st.
We do NOT draft a QB in the first 2 rounds.

I think we trade #12 for a player. I don't think the price is right but I still think it happens.

I'd do it for Garoppolo.

I think we could easily take BPA here. Perfect spot for it. Someone will reach for a pick in the top 10 and a player will drop to us. Keep our options open.

that is all
