Thanks for your time here Murray. Always seemed like a really solid dude! Not a major loss from an on the field standpoint however. We do need to find a bigger RB for short yardage/goal line opportunities. He was very solid on the goalline.

Good luck to Murray. Good guy. Met him quite a few times when my buds host parties in SF, L.A., and Vegas.

Murray was too inconsistent. Would run like a beast one game, then play mediocre the next. He also wasn't a good fit running out of the shotgun. Great punching it in near the goal line though. Best of luck to him in MIN.

Who are we gonna have block for him then? Can't run him from a Power-I or Goalline set without another fullback. Or at least, its odd.

wish list:

- sign zach brown
- sign dontari poe to a "prove it" deal
- re-sign perry riley
- NO to jared cook
- if the price is right, pick up peterson. his market is close to dead, so there's no need to cave. if he's unreasonable, just draft a big back.
- pick up a cheap reserve CB... i like sterling moore

One of the overlooked aspects of Murray's game is his ability to pass block. Anyway, good luck to him.

Agree but that makes him just like Richard and Washington in a way, as they could only catch out of the backfield instead of blocking.. ideally you'd have a player on your team who was able to do both.

Good luck to Latavius. Wonder what he got? If he got 5m/yr, I'd be pretty stunned.. the Lacy signing (5.5m) was shocking and if this is the price for RBs, I'm fine with dodging everyone and going back into the draft to find one.

I really thought Murray would ultimately re-sign with the Raiders, but alas. I think Murray is at least an above average back who could become a more appreciated if he played in an offense more tailored to his strengths. Just like DeMarco, Latavius would benefit from more eye formations and single back with a quarterback under center.

It kind of makes me excited because either way, we'll have a new young fresh face to play a bigger role. I'm slowly starting to root for Mixon in the first round and it makes me uncomfortable for multiple reasons.

[insert unfunny gif here]

That would probably be worst case. I would expect any of our TE's to fill that role especially if we end up signing one because we may have 4 TE's again.
