That was expected. I'd guess he realized he's not worth what he thought.

Decent deal. Will probably be CJ Mosley's starting point in a year or two.

Same for Shazier.

I knew the chances were slim to pry him away from NE but the thought of a LB corp looking like: Dupree--Shazier--Hightower--Harrison/1st Rounder was intriguing.

Not to nitpick, but if the Steelers acquired Hightower wouldn't it have made more sense for them to take a safety in round 1?

The man wanted to be paid and be in a good team, glad he decided to come back "home". The guy is leader and a playmaker, the Pats probably lose both Super Bowls without him making key stops. Bill has officially slayed this off-season.

Being the Patriots is like playing Madden on Rookie level. Nothing's challenging and you stockpile all of the talent during the offseason.

Pats fans, do you guys even get excited anymore? I feel like I'd be all, "Meh, wake me up in January."

Seriously?

Have you missed all of the apologists on this site? They'll always find something to gripe about/defend. They're obnoxiously relentless. Laughing

For a lot of guys (and we saw it a TON in the sub's game day threads this season) its that they expect way too much. Like near perfection, and when you don't get it, the sky is falling and there is no way this is a SB team yada yada yada. It is Super Bowl or bust so it comes down to, "If they can't stop a team like *insert 9-7 team here* in garbage time how are they going to beat *insert 12+ win team here* in the playoffs???" It's asinine and why I avoid the GDT's now.

Honestly?

It has gotten a little boring. But I'd say that's more a function of the lack of a real challenger on the AFC side than anything else. Hopefully the Raiders build off last year and keep Carr healthy and the Broncos or Texans acquire Romo to make things interesting.
