Thoughts? Good pick up in my opinion.

Nice! Kind of reminds me of Dion Lewis with his crazy cutting skills and good vision.

Plays a lot of ST for the Bengals, is he any good? Does he threaten Bolden role?

Like it a lot. Instantly becomes the best runner on the team and can catch and play a little on ST if needed.

Burkhead is too good of a RB to be a core ST cover guy I'd think. He should have a pretty big role in the offense. If Bolden is gone, then I guess Burkhead gets some kick coverage chances, but hopefully they keep Bolden

I remember Burkhead being really good in college. If the Pats can tap into the skillset he never really got a chance to use in Cinci it'll be a great signing.

I think this could be the Hogan move of this offseason.

Nice pickup. He'll be a good addition to the RB stable.

He was the best running back on our roster and we never realized it.

I know how you feel about Blount Laughing but I forgot how you feel about Dion Lewis. Do you think Burkhead is a major upgrade to Lewis? I think they are very similar. Do you think they will split carries evenly or can you see Burkhead being the featured back with 250+ carries?

Yup. Belichick is KILLING this offseason so far.

I like Burkhead a lot. Runs hard. Gives us something we don't have, and has low mileage.

Burkhead is a harder, better runner. Better hands. Better route runner. Less YAC/open field ability than a healthy Lewis.

I think Lewis is a 12 touch a game type of guy, a true change up. I don't like him as a pass down back, and he's not a particularly effective runner in run situations. Bring him in on pass down and let him run from single back/shotgun or try a screen or a toss to get him into space.

I'm not sure how Burkhead will be used, but he has a lot more potential than Lewis to be a 15-20 touch a game guy and he doesn't have the litany of injury issues that Lewis has. Overall, I like Burkhead's skillset better but Lewis can be a valuable piece in small doses.
