Howdy.

In the process of preparing my mock drafts for the next six weeks. What would you say are the three or four most pressing needs for your team ranked in order of most to least?

Thanks!

Agree with this. Might put DT, and maybe RB, over TE. However, RB probably ends up fifth since we will almost certainly sign a RB in free agency.

I'd go Offensive or Defensive line. Maybe RB if there is real quality at whatever our first pick winds up being.

I'd rather protect Brady.

DE
LB
DT
TE
S
CB

With no high picks in the draft, it's unlikely that they'll get any impact players for next year, but hopefully they can find a contributor or two.

DE /Edge
LB
TE
S
CB

I did a Fanspeak draft based on what was available at the Pats' spots with the above needs in mind and chose the following:

3rd round (72): Tarell Basham, Ohio, Edge/DE
3rd round (96): Anthony Walker, Northwestern, LB
4th rond (131): Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas, TE
5th round (183): Deatrich Wise, Jr., Arkansas, Edge/DE
6th round (200): Gareon Conley, Ohio St., CB
7th round (239): Nate Gerry, Nebraska, S

Conley might not fall that far, but would be an obvious steal if he did (and the story seems very fishy).

I'm really sorry to ask this but I've seen you around for a long time and every time I see your sig I think it's very touching however I also wonder what that is in the background. I keep thinking it's barnacles or soap suds but that wouldn't seem to make sense in the context of your message.

The first round is more exciting when the Pats don't have a pick. They're too sensible...I watch the draft to see ridiculous blockbuster trades, desperation moves and "WTF" selections.

I look forward to welcoming whoever happened to start at safety for Rutgers into the Pats family sometime on Saturday.

Until then, I sit back and hope somebody does something Earth-shatteringly stupid.
