Is anyone else wondering why he hasn't been cut ? Can't we save like $5 mill ? He wasn't making an impact before his latest serious injury. Shouldn't they do him a favor and cut him so he can find another team if he still wants to play -- ?
What are they waiting for- a headscratcher for me .. Think

Maybe waiting till after they see how the draft plays out but I agree it's time to go unless he restructures for minimum. Even then I'd rather a young buck

The front office loves him and as simple as a tweet just the other day, he supports Bruce Allen, therefore he will probably earn a paycheck.

I don't see any reason to cut Dhall unless we are going to use that $ on another DL or ILB. Much like with Lauvao, there's no reason to just cut them right now - especially before the draft - unless you are going to sign an upgrade. At worst each of them can compete for jobs in August and if they're going to make it we could ask them to take a pay cut at some point.

DHall can still be valuable as a nickel corner and help develop Breeland, Dunbar and Fuller.

Essentially, you don't cut someone until their cap number exceeds their value to the team. Hall is coming up on the edge of that limit, but they don't have much back in the secondary where cutting him is a given. Now, that could change after the draft or (more likely) before the season begins. Right now, the cap space isn't an issue, so he sticks around.

Ya but wouldn't a smart front office cut him, resign him to a vet min deal, still have that player around to contribute this year, and then have around $3ish mil they could save and push forward to next year's cap?

Flipside of this is: what happens if they cut Hall now without a replacement? Do we think he would re-sign with the team? Now they'd be forced to go safety earlier than they perhaps want.

Saving cap space between now and late August is somewhat irrelevant. If Hall is cut before the season, they can push that cap space forward to next year. If he's not, it means that he made the team on his own merits (or the lack of merit of the other secondary players) ... which as we all know will be McCloughan's fault.

Didn't we just sign his replacement in Swearinger?

Nope. Swearinger cravens Duke all play same position. Any of the at free safety is disaster waiting to happen- bombs away

Swearinger played FS for the Cardinals last year and performed well.

He wants to develop people than really cut him and make him a coach. Everyone remember when he got hurt the defense was better without him? Luavao is different because was mediocre when healthy. Kory was the one that really just had to go. I think they're gonna roll with Swearinger at FS regardless anyway so may as well save the dough
