Hopefully Downing can use him creatively in the new offense. We know he'll be active on ST.

~IMO Reggie has a plan for how much he can spend. The 2-4 FA who sign may surprise us but they will make sense once we draft.

I have wanted CP on our team for a while now. I was always so amazed with his ability once the ball is in his hands. Now it's up to Downing to find creative ways to do so since he is not a traditional WR whatsoever. We upgraded our WR depth, return and gunner positions with this signing. Great work Reg.

He's averaged over 31 yards per kick return and had at least 1 TD in 3 of his 4 years. Even if he doesn't do much on offense I love this signing. We haven't had a legit return man in so long.

Per a league source, Cordarrelle Patterson got a two-year deal from the Raiders, which can be voided to a one-year deal.

Great pick up! Curious on the money.... Think he'll be the #3. Shouldn't really take that much to beat out Roberts for the slot. Hope Downing can get creative and get him in space. Remember last year when Johnny Holton saw the field you knew the reverse was comin. With regular snaps for CP that won't be as predictable. Should be. A nice little weapon for Carr. Good one Reggie, what else ya got lol

He also led the league in KR 3 out of his 4 years. So we signed the best KR in the NFL. That's pretty good!

low risk signing, ton of ability, is now in a good offense, is a top special team player, let's see what happens.

Our special teams just got poached in FA so why make it worse?

Looks like he only had 1 drop on 70 targets last year. That's a better drop rate than anyone on the Raiders.

I think he will be much more successful here than in Minny. This will be the best offense he has been a part of. He's finally going to have a talented, trustworthy QB who can make all the throws and a couple good WRs to open things up for him. I don't think he's going to come in and set the world on fire, but I think he'll take over as our #3 and do a pretty good job at it.

I'm on board with this signing, but I'm honestly not expecting much. Patterson is a very similar player to Josh Cribbs to me with a tiny bit more upside as a contributor on offense.
