Eagles sign Nick Foles to a 2 year deal.

Chase Daniel officially out?

I love Foles as a cheaper Back Up. Hopefully this means we found a trade partner for Chase.

Isn't that the definition of putting the cart before the horse.

If they've got a trade partner for Chase, this makes all the sense in the world.

Probably Foles was getting interest from other teams and the Daniel trade is still getting worked out, so they had to move on Foles now.

I understand that, what happens if TB or whomever decides another course of action?

97.5 just reported that Chase has asked for his release, and it will be granted today.

Saves 1 mil.

What sort of compensation do we expect from a guy with 78 career passes?

Swap of picks in the draft?

A dinner at DougieP's fav local establishment?

A conditional pick? If he plays more than 5 snaps, we get X?

Trade him for a box of crayons save 6m instead.

We'd probably have to do like the Texans did with Osweiler and send a pic to whoever takes him just to get rid of that contract.

Sounds like they will come to some agreement where they'll get more cap space back. According to BGN Eagles had a trade in place but not for a team he wanted to go to so he'll give some $ back to get cut and control where he goes.

Exactly.

I wonder who the deal was with?

Where does he think he can go? His agent give him that idea?

Houston, TB, back to NO? KC?

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if it was a deal with the Jets...

The return of Foleswalker!

From Chase Daniel's perspective, it makes sense to request a trade or release. The eagles found a replacement for 2nd string and he probably thinks he can still hang as a 2nd string somewhere else. So rather than waste our money, he could go somewhere else.

Chase believes he is a starter. Foles on a 2 year 11m deal. 7m guaranteed.
