Would you be willing to give up 29 for him? I just thought of this. New England seems to want to move him now as they're paying Gilmore 14m per now and Butler will need a new deal after next year. With Matthews and possibly Cobb coming off the books, I think we can sign him long term. If New England asked for say #29 and our Comp 5th would you go for it? I pull that trigger all day.

Does he get the same contract Gilmore did, about?

Then no.

I'm not the biggest Butler fan though.

His Pro Day was freaking brutal.

I can see why the Pats are trying to unload him.

I wouldn't trade for a CB you will need to pay when the draft class is already stacked at that position. We need those rookie deals to balance out all of the FAs Ted will sign this offseason.

He denied he asked for anything close to that kind of money. I could see 11-12 getting it done. With a constantly rising cap at his age, that's a very good number.

Nope. I'd rather keep the pick and take Gareon Conley and let him play on a cheap rookie contract than trade 29 for someone we're going to have to pay handsomely.

I too really want Conley, but why not both? Laughing Then hand Hyde's roll to randall where I believe he'll thrive and put Rollins in the slot. All of a sudden this secondary is very strong.

If Aaron was 36/37 yes. Right now, Ill take the chance that #29 will be a CB starter for us on a rookie deal.

Because I think we're going to have to use that pick to take him or trade back just a little to take him. His stock is soaring.

I heard no reports or anything. I'm just trying to gauge what ya think we have to pay him. I didn't know there was talk he asked for that kind of money or anything.

I would expect him to deny it regardless though.

Fair point. You'd need basically a perfect scenario board-wise to land both if we're being honest.

I don't think this will happen and I'm not even necessarily advocating for it, I just see Butler as the last chance we have at a quick fix on the outside now that Amukamara is gone. Yes I'm still in my feelings about that. Lol

Did a bunch of other FA CBs get signed and I didn't hear about it?
