Da boys personal vendetta to go through 10 years worth of tape to show the bad plays ,while ignoring the good plays

Let's see how the replacement does this year and then compare

I have some faith in the coaching staff in knowing what they have in Doug free

I didn't really have to dig. I just google imaged "Romo sacked gif" and "Dak fumble Gif"

Doug Free did the rest.

Well, we do have:

1. Emmett Cleary
2. Johnathan Cooper
3. Joe Looney
4. Chaz Green

Don't know how many can make the transition to RT, if any, but worth a look.

I blame our playoff loss to the Vikings on Doug Free. His man had an amazing game that killed so many drives

Cooper hasn't signed back yet. Looney, from what I know, is purely a OG/C type. Cleary and Green are the two that are on the roster right now that "could" do it.

Chaz Green was said to be noticeably more comfortable playing LT in camp last year, and played LT exclusively last year during the latter parts of training camp and into the preseason/regular season. Apparently he isn't so sharp playing on the right. Or at least wasn't last year. Which I thought was odd because he has college experience there. His injury history is enough to give me pause about penciling him in at the RT spot anyway.

I don't know much about Cleary(except that he is 6'7" 320 and was born in Tokyo) but he seemed to do well last year at LT when Chaz Green went down(Chaz was playing LT because Tyron was hurt, but eventually was hurt himself and replaced by Cleary). So they both played LT.

Surely the switch to the right side, although probably not seamless, isn't so complex.

I am also of the opinion that we can't do much worse.

I wouldn't be completely opposed to replacing Free with Collins, and letting Looney(or Cooper if signed and finds his talent) replace Leary:

Smith -- Looney(cooper) -- Frederick -- Martin -- Collins

To me that doesn't look far off from last year, and has potential to be much better. We keep all 3 all pro's in their spot.

Not to mention the penalties he had in the *most recent* playoff game. There is a reason he "had to get away,"-SJ- after that game, and eventually decided to retire. I don't imagine he felt to good afterwards.

I still see no reason Martin shouldn't be considered for RT. And, don't say it's because you don't move an All-Pro....Larry Allen played everywhere for Dallas, but C. Martin fits and is the best option. Collins stays inside and Looney/Cooper/whoever fights for other G spot.

I haven't a doubt in my mind that Martin could be a pro bowler anywhere on the OL. Dak being protected by the bookends Tyron Smith and Zack Martin, gives me no worries. Let Collins continue to develop at LG(also where we can use his athleticism on pull plays), and let Looney(or Cooper or even a rookie) play the other guard spot.

Chargers just released King Dunlap... Would be a little rich for us. I think we are okay with what we have in house.

If he were to come cheap, I think he would be better than Free.

Free was definitely the weak link talent wise on the field.

But I really hate saying this...... I think his loss is pretty huge. I recall Smith, Frederick, and Leary raving about how he was the leader of the group and a warrior who they all respected so much.

I think we can find a better right tackle, but chemistry and leadership are things I think are really valuable.

I'm not saying that our line will go to [inappropriate/removed], but I don't think it's automatic that losing Free is addition by subtraction.

You drafted Chaz Green to have him be Free's eventual replacement. He and Cleary have looked alright in limited action. I don't think there is any reason to panic here.

I am against the idea of Zach Martin at RT. He obviously could do it. But he's arguably the best OL in the NFL playing at RG. I don't think he has the traits to be more than a pretty decent RT. I don't think it's worth it.

Not totally opposed to the idea of Collins at RT, but I'd rather try other options first.

LDE Ray Edwards decimated RT Marc Colombo in that game. Jared Allen beat Jason Witten to make like 1 play all game.

In other news, Cooper has re-signed, and I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing him play some snaps this year.

hmmmm.... so now we have Martin, Looney, and Cooper all at OG. This seems to bode well for the Collins To RT guys.

Plus it's supposed to be a better draft for guards than tackles, which is mostly an indictment of this tackle class and evidence towards how rare competent ones are nowadays. I mean, you're clamoring for King Dunlap in this thread, and that man has made numerous QBs' lives miserable.

Anyhow, if he's there, I would really love Lamp, and not just because he's there
