So far ... good

You think we'll go with either Heinkie or a possible rookie from the draft as our primary backup to Bradford?

Even in a good draft I don't believe we go with two rookies and McKinnon I think we add a veteran and a rookie.

Why do you hope Newman retires when he's still been such a good player for us?

I think Heinkie is definitely the primary backup QB, redshirted 2 years even just to protect him. Fully healthy now & def #2. A drafted QB late could be another development QB on the PS.

I think we'll sign a vet & draft a rookie for RB, i just dont want the vet to be AP/Asiata.

I am fine if we move on from Newman, steep decline may come soon and Zim may show loyalty to him when/if not warrented. If we can get a Claiborne for couple years im game. Mo was in the wrong type of defense in his early DAL days. He is a man cover CB, which is why I think he could do well in MIN

Lions also added Keshawn Martin, WR (NE)

Only reason that might change is if he's a poor fit for Pat Shurmur and his scheme. But I'm not sure that's the case.

I think he's a better fit in Shurmur's offense than he was in Norv's. Reasonably quick release and fewer vertical routes.

What is the general consensus, if any, in Packer-land about his resigning? How do you value his importance to the team? I must admit I am not that familiar with him.

I'll just say that if your Vikings fan you want him started. He has been god awful since an injury in 2014 knocked him out. Up to that point he was a great back up as he could play basically every position on the offensive line in spot duty.

I assume he won't make it past training camp if he hasn't improved from last year.

Lance Kendricks played for Los Angeles since he was with the team when they moved.

The Packers have signed Davon House.

Basically like us signing Mike Remmers.

Played for the team, came back, upgraded a position. Nothing beautiful
