I hope this is a back up role to replace Rambo, sure he can compete but don't think he is good enough.

Good signing guys. You will be very happy with him in a depth/spot duty role.

Really? I thought his play dropped off last year? Wasn't he released at one point?

Look fellas, the cupboard is bare in free agency at safety. The Phins needed a player with experience, to pair with whatever rookie we draft. Thomas and Allen can battle it out for free safety, while we groom a younger player.

Yeah, guys like Allen, Timmons, Hayes aren't supposed to be permanent solutions. Hence the short, inexpensive deals. Sign competition, draft talent.

Actually I get the impression this is to replace Isa Abdul Quddus. Will want more Safety depth though cause I don't trust the dude. Then again, 1 year prove it deals are nice. I liked Nate's game in Philly.

FS Marcus Williams is looking more appealing in Round One.

Not in love with Allen, but there was only so much available. Have to imagine a safety is taken in the draft now.
