Terrelle Pryor not concerned with Redskins QB issues - "I played with 6 last year!" sports.yahoo.com/news/terrelle-…

Yes, we could tag Pryor next year but playing this franchise tag game is beyond stupid. If I'm the players I'd go on strike to get rid of it next round of negs.

Per a source with knowledge of the contract, Pryor’s incentives fall into three categories: catches, yards, and touchdowns. He can make another $1 million based on receptions, another $500,000 based on receiving yards, and another $500,000 based on touchdowns.

As to receptions, Pryor gets $250,000 for 60 catches, a total of $600,000 for 70 catches, and a total of $1 million if he has 80 receptions or more. As to receiving yards, he gets $150,000 for 750 yards, a total of $300,000 for 1,000 yards, and a total of $500,000 for 1,250 yards. As to touchdowns, Pryor gets an extra $100,000 for six, a total of $300,000 for eight, and a total of $500,000 for 10.

To get the full $2 million (and to make the contract worth $8 million), Pryor needs to have 80 or more catches for 1,250 yards and 10 touchdowns. Based on his 2016 performance (77 catches, 1,007 yards, four touchdowns), Pryor would have made an extra $750,000.

I've often wondered how that works for Cap Purposes .. since you don't know what the final cost will be . Do you have to ASSUME the full amount will be paid including the incentives. ?

If it is a likely to be earned (LTBE) incentive, the team must account for it. A not likely to be earned (NLTBE) incentive doesn't require the team to pre-fill for it, but if it's met, it activates on the cap. I don't know this for a fact, but I think if a team has a player hit a NLTBE incentive and it pushes them over the cap, they need to slide under. Most teams hold a few million in reserve just in case (as well as for signing players).

I don't know how they categorized those.

Random.

Jordan Reed is 6'2" 242 lbs

Terrelle Pryor was 6'4" 232 lbs at his pro day

Pryor is basically a taller fast Jordan Reed. And he's a year younger.

If Pryor had Reed's route-running ability...

Maybe he can pick up some tips from Reed like VD said he did last year.

Lets hope Pryor doesn't pick up any VD.
