I am DONE with Ted Thompson, lets face facts, if he didn't luck into Rodgers in 05, he would have been fired a long time ago. He is single handedly holding this team back, Rodgers' brilliance is what is keeping us relevant. We have a 4-5 win roster, if not for the GOAT. TT refuses to do his job and actually sign players to fill holes created by TT's inability to draft. Loook at the Patriots, won 5 SBs and are always players in FA. They just signed the best CB on the market and I bet Teddy boy didn't even pick up the damn phone. Gilmore would have helped a lot, and created flexibility in the draft. But NOPE Teddy loves those 5th round comp picks that he will just use to draft another bust with. If Rodgers had a GM who knew how to do his job he would have more SBs than Brady. But instead we let Schnieder, McKenzie, and Dorsey leave, when we should have given our lemon away instead. Next to leave will be Wolf. How many superior executives are we going to let walk before we can Thompson?

He is clearly one of the 5 worst GM's in football. This idiot pissed away the remaining years of Favre's career now Rodgers is about to suffer the same fate. It is nauseating that this fool still has a job.

All really good points here, especially about how TT is bottom 5 roster manager like the other 31 non patriot roster managers. Bunch of bottom tier chumps!

So is this where you run off to go post in the Patriots forum and refer to Tom Brady as the GOAT and BB as the hands down best decision maker in all of the NFL? Then proceed to head to Ebay and sell all of your current used Green Bay Packer attire in exchange for other peoples used Patriot attire? Followed by deleting your account on FF, but create a new one so people don't think you're a band wagon fan? To which you live happily ever after with you and your fandom of a team that you weren't even a fan of when they accomplished the things they did? Awesome bro. Toodles.

There really isn't any discussion with them. They will NEVER acknowledge the following points:

1. It's harder to sign players to play in Green Bay than any other market in the NFL. This has been commented on ad nauseum by many players, personnell and people who actually know.

2. Mike Daniels, Richard Rodgers, Josh Sitton, Josh Boyd, Davon House were all compensatory picks.

3. Ted Thompson is the one who drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first place. If it wasn't for Thompson, we wouldn't have had Aaron's "prime years Thompson is wasting" to waste.

4. Jared Cook, Charles Woodson, Ryan Pickett, Letroy Guion, Julius Peppers, Charlie Peprah. Find one team that has had a higher hit percentage on major free agent signings than the Packers have had. YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER HIT PERCENTAGE.

5. Ten percent of Thompson's draft picks have made it to the pro bowl. That's better than all but the Patriots, Steelers, Texans, Seahawks, Saints and Cowboys. The Packers have averaged significantly worse draft position than all but the Seahawks and Patriots. At worst, this makes Thompson the third best GM in football.

6. Injuries. The Packers lost their all pro receiver and their #1 cornerback at the start of or before the season in back-to-back seasons. Would the Patriots win the Super Bowl without Malcolm Butler this year?

7. Jordy Nelson, BJ Raji, Bryan Bulaga, Derrek Sherrod, Nick Perry, Datone Jones, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Damarious Randall, Kenny Clark. The first pick the Packers have had in the past nine years. To be fair to Thompson haters who desperately need the help, let's call Randall a bust. That makes it 6/3 in hit/miss ratio.

8. All of the comparisons are with the Patriots. The Patriots are undoubtedly the best. What in the [inappropriate/removed] do Thompson haters expect to do about that? There are 31 other teams beside the Patriots and nobody can come up with a second team GM better than Thompson. So what, we should fire the second best GM because he's second best and not the best? What do we do then? Hire somebody that currently doesn't have a job with 30 other NFL teams just because our GM is second best?

Unlike you, I'm not blind. I see facts and the facts are TT is terrible at his job and needs to be replaced. He has done nothing to address the teams biggest weakness 5 years running now. Build through the draft approach would be all well and good, but for 1 major flaw, TT sucks at drafting. Now, when your too stubborn to use FA, and suck at drafting, then WTF good are you?

This is great lol although BB is the best decision maker in the league overall.

Anyone else remember the schiddy ESPN forums? For those of you who remember, this has BerkshireBull written all over it...especially the part about Favre...

Please tell me who in the last 5 years you wanted us to sign and then make the cap numbers work. This isn't madden where you can turn off the salary cap.

OPEN CHALLENGE TO THOMPSON-HATERS:

This is a three part challenge. If you cannot answer these questions, you have to stop whining.

1. Name five GM's better than Ted Thompson at finding and retaining talent, win percentage, team's postseason success.

2. Name one single GM candidate available right now that's better than Ted Thompson. Just one.

3. If you can't find five GM's better and you can't find a single GM to replace him, what in the actual eff do you propose we do? Where is the GM tree we can water with tears?

It's nice how in the modern NFL all of free agency has been condensed down to about an 18 hour period.
