Anyone else feel like Hayes was kinda disrespected by this? I mean we all knew he wasn't a fit with the new regime but trading him for pennies has got to be a bit of a slap in the face. I think for a guy like him, we owed it to him to just release him and then he'd at least have some options on where he'd want to play. This was a guy who really fought for this team.

What's a bigger slap in the face? Trading him to a team that wants him and he keeps his high salary that Fisher gave him. Or cutting him so a team that wants him would be able to pay him half what he was making?

Oh I'm sure at the end of the day, he's content that he gets to play another year under that contract. But I'm sure it had to sting a little hearing he was traded for "a stapler and a coffee machine"
