Why do I get the feeling that - like always seems to happen in these mocks every year - people are just voting for certain guys for certain teams because they want to make sure other prospects fall to their team? _________________

9ers won't affect us. Even if I'm going DL I'd go Allen over Thomas . I think they go QB here, Trubinsky or Watson |

It won't be Watson; if his velocity is really what it was reported coming out of the combine, he's going to be lucky to go in the 1st round (and yes, teams care about throw velocity... A LOT).
But what abut the Niners' situation screams they're going to reach for a QB? Hoyer - mediocre as he may be - was brought in on the promise that he's going to be the '17 starter. They've basically acknowledged that they've got a multi-year rebuild on their hands. And they've got a QB who their new HC really likes who has said he doesn't want to go anywhere else but where Lil Shanny is... and has said he won't sign a LTD with the team that has franchised him so long as the current team president is in charge.
They've got an, arguably, strong verbal commitment (as close as you can get without tampering) from the QB they want that he wants them and would come to them next year in FA. So why would they burn a Top 2 pick on a player who doesn't project to be much better (and that's with further development), if even that, than Cousins already is.
As to Allen over Thomas, if the medical were clean, I'd agree. But it's not. And arthritis in the shoulders (particularly if it's determined to be at all degenerative) is a substantial concern. _________________

Well they need to check out the results from the past so they will realize it is absolutely meaningless.
Anyway I vote Soloman Thomas. Terrible year to be at #2. |

I know the vote is settled already, but Solomon Thomas for me. If not him, then someone like Lattimore or Hooker. _________________
