Willing to give him a shot. He's not the future, but him with a high pick rookie behind him given some time to develop could lead to success in the next couple season.

Well, most people have wanted "anybody but Cutler" for the past six years, so now they're gonna get Mike Glennon and they'd better like it.

It's a good signing. He's presumably going to start this season even if the Bears take a QB high in the draft and this deal pays him starting QB money. It appears as if the deal will be structured in such a way that they can part ways after a year or two and not take much of a cap hit, if any. He can quite possibly outperform Hoyer and certainly has some upside (though I don't expect much).

And now they have to draft a QB to start developing. And maybe draft another next year. If Pace and Co. come out of this draft without taking a QB I will be furious.

Kind of how I feel. I'm not excited by any means, but I'm not furious either. With only $19m guaranteed he could be cut after 1-2 years with little to no ramifications. But they HAVE to draft a QB early. If they don't, then I will be furious.

This is exactly my thoughts as well.

We got our warm body at QB who is affordable, but more importantly we did NOT give up any draft picks.

He's probably good enough to allow the rest of the team to compete in 2017, but bad enough we won't mind a bit when the rookie takes his place sooner rather than later.

I really don't have an issue with this pick up...clearly we don't see him as a long term option but his contract means if he does play well we have the option to extend him...if he doesn't $19 million guaranteed is easy to get off the hook...gives us options moving forward to the draft...really need to get some talent around him on the outside tho.

I feel like this is for Pace to take a swing for the QB he feels has the best potential. He sits for most of the year to try and catch on to the pro game, without having to throw to a weak WR corps all year.

Then Glennon and Fox are the scapegoats so Pace gets his head coach in 2018.

I don't think it changes his views on the QB's. None are ready for starting right away, all need development. He just buys a year or two

Who the hell is he throwing the ball too?

Ruben Randle has the most career receptions on our team.

Dion Sims. He'll block to help Massie- because god knows he needs it- and then catch it down the seam for a big 28 yard gain. Rare athlete.
