Former Bills WR Robert Woods is returning to LA, to the Rams, per sources. Back in the Coliseum, like at USC.

Barring any snags, Robert Woods intends to sign a 5-year, $39 million deal, including $15 million guaranteed, with Rams, per sources.

5 years, 39 million. That seems really high for him

Good move for the Rams. Woods gets open a lot and is a hometown kid from the LA area. I think he will be a good #2 for them. Only 24 too so he's still got room to grow as a player. These the type of guys you don't mind overpaying. 8M/yr seems to be the market price for these receivers. Not bad at all.

They still don't have a #1 WR.

Only 15 guaranteed so if it's only the 1st few years that is guaranteed it isn't bad. I'm guessing after year 2 they could cut him if they aren't happy with his play.

I feel like Woods could be great if he went to a team with a good QB. Signing with LA is the exact opposite of that and is more of the same thing he had in Buffalo.

I thought Woods could be a guy the Ravens target as a bargain type WR. Never expected him to land that type of deal.

I think that is a high price but Woods is a good player who will give his all every single game. Great blocker, solid #2 and really good route runner. I wish he had gone to a team with a solid QB because he could really put up some good numbers.

Woods was one of my favorite players so it sucks he's gone but I'm glad we didn't pay him that much, the Rams get a great player who is extremely professional.

Probably.

Woods is gonna be a really good number two. 8 mil a year and only 15 guaranteed for a guy like him isn't bad at all.

I would have loved him on the Eagles. Instead of freaking Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffrey.

Yeah, that's pretty high. That's basically Marvin Jones' contract with about $5m less guaranteed...

He would have been a good fit for the Eagles. It's so hard to figure out what good value is in this FA, it's pretty much changed all the rules.

Every contract signed is about 25% more than what we think it should be. This offseason with the ridiculous cap space is changing the rules.

Exactly.

You can't really say the Rams overpaid him at all. The salary cap is getting higher and higher and the guy is 24 years old. You don't sign him based off of what he's done. You sign him based off of what you think he's gonna be. And apparently a lot of people around the NFL really like Woods.

Shame he is going to a team that won't maximize his talents though.

And I agree...he would have been great on our team. Sadly Sad
