Oddly some Fullbacks got real money, but I don't think any "top" RBs have signed at all.

I don't think any of the teams that have had a running back in for a visit want to flinch first and set the market.

Very telling on what teams think of the running back position.

Well part of it most of these RB's are either in their 30's or they are young and not worth much.

The FB's signed to big money have almost an every down value like Kyle Juszczyk who is basically a TE that can run the ball and lead block.

He might not fit the offense, but I would've been very happy if we signed him.

Although he does do everything. Maybe he'd fit in anywhere?

I think this great class of Running backs may hurt the FA backs as well.

Touted as a five-year, $55.5 million contract, the deal signed last week by tackle Matt Kalil in Carolina is actually a one-year contract with a chance for Kalil to unlock the balance in 2018. Per a source with knowledge of the deal, the Panthers have to decide between the first and fifth day of the 2018 league year whether to exercise a $10 million option bonus for 2021, with a $10 million non-exercise fee for 2018. The only way to avoid the option bonus or the fee is to cut him or trade him before the deadline for exercising the option.

For now, the deal pays out $13 million for one year, with a $1 million guarantee in 2018 that surely is subject to offset. While that’s a lot to pay Kalil for one season, it gives the Panthers a clear out in the event that, after paying $13 million in 2017, they decide not to give him another $11 million in 2018. The incentive to do so comes from a more affordable $7 million salary in 2019. Also, salaries of $10 million in 2020 and $10.5 million in 2021 may seem to be a lot less daunting if the salary cap keeps going up $10 million or more per year.

Ian Rapoport‏ @RapSheet
Per @_SportsTrust, RB Eddie Lacy has agreed to terms with the #Seahawks. They answer their RB question

Welp..

That offense is going to be tuff.

Rawls, Lacy, and Prosise.

Basically what I wanted our RB situation to look like.

Increasing chances Peterson will be in purple.

1 year, $5.55M with $3M fully guaranteed
That is why. Minnesota doesn't like those one year prove it deals.

We have Geoff Schwartz, Andre Smith and Kurt Coleman 1 year prove it deals.

Lacy is a bigger name, but does that change anything?

They were very cheap easy 1 year deals for their position.

I still don't see it. Have we heard anything even remotely suggesting that Peterson and the Vikings have been in contact?

I just don't think the Vikings are interested anymore. At east I hope that's the case.

I still believe they are playing the smart avenue on the situation. Let him go out, figure out his market value from a few teams, and let us be last one decide to do with him.

If you look at it, much like Packers just did to Lacy. Hopefully we will also let him walk.

One disadvantage is the one team he visited just signed their RB.

I'm guessing Peterson was asking for more than $5M a year for a multi year signing.

Bob McGinn‏ @BobMcGinn
RB Eddie Lacy visited Sea (his new team), Minn and GB in the last wk. For one of the three teams Lacy weighed 267. Listed last year at 234.
