Was thinking the same thing myself, Whitworth contract looks so much better now.

To be fair, both Zeitler and Kalil are 27, so they're a lot younger than Whitworth. Still, if our new LT doesn't turn into another Jake Long this should be a terrific signing.

Rams just informed me they are releasing starting center Tim Barnes @TimBarnes62. Surprise after 32 straight starts.

The biggest piece of all my off-season plans, love this, such a smart signing.

LMAO so true on the gif.

And yeah, the Rams so needed a LT to protect Goff.

The oline is a huge reason why our passing game never seemed to improve.

Well, Id put most the blame on Boras, but yes, in order for McVays vertical passing game to work you need to have the time for it to develop.

Pretty expensive but I can get behind this signing. He's the best offensive linemen available. Hopefully can keep playing at a high level.

I'm happy with this. Really needed a quality LT and we got one. Hopefully Greg Robinson can be a really good player at G for us.

McVay said in today's FA presser that GRob will compete with Havenstein at RT.

Interesting.

I don't know how I feel about that. Havenstein took a step back his second year but he's still proven capable. Robinson has shown he can't play tackle at an acceptable level in this league, I don't care whether it's the left or right side. Stick him at guard and have him able to play in a phone booth. If he's going to succeed anywhere, it'll be there.

People on another Rams board are saying that Havenstein is moving inside.

A 6'7" guard? That's a new one.

My assumption would be that with the exception of Whitworth at LT and whoever we grab to plug in at Center (FA or draft) the other 3 OL spots will basically be an open competition and the best configuration will be the OL next year.
