Hearing Packers have a long-term agreement with Nick Perry. Huge win Green Bay. Keep the pass rushing LB. Should be announced today

Keeping Nick Perry - coming off an 11-win season - was a top priority for Green Bay. Many others interested. Getting him for 5 years

EDIT:

Here's the breakdown on Perry's new deal
Quote:

Here's a breakdown of Nick Perry's contract with the Packers: Five years, $60 million. Includes an $18.5 million signing bonus (the only guaranteed money). It also includes roster bonuses of $4.3 million in 2018 (payable the third day of the league year) and $4.8 million in 2019 (third day of the league year). Base salaries are: $1.3 million (2017), $1.9 million (2018), $5.2 million in 2019, $9.6 million in 2020, $9.4 million in 2021. There's another $5 million in per-game roster bonuses and workout bonuses.

We'll see how much of a win it is after contract details are released.

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm one of the people who doesn't really think it matters. We have some financial freedom with Cobb and Matthews next season and contracts really only affects teams for the first two years or as long as the team wants to keep them.

Nick Perry was an excellent signing and the new report on Bleacher Report is the Packers are possibly trying to sign Devon House which would be another "good get".

Was NOT expecting that. Feel a lot better now. Hopefully it's a three year deal and less than 14 million a year. Huge sigh of relief.

Nice, this was the first big one we needed. I'd like to see a vet like Peppers, Williams or Dumervil added and House brought back.

Add Lacy and Cook and let's go to the draft.

Scratch the 3 year hopes, it's a five year deal. Didn't even take time to read, just focused on re-sign Perry.

So good to get their top priority signed early in FA. Can focus on the others like Cook and perhaps TJ Lang and then go from there

At this point I'm just hoping he took it a little easy on us. We didn't use his fifth year option, we didn't tag him and we let him explore his options in free agency. Surely that should count for something towards a hometown discount, shouldn't it?

Nice. Please stay healthy.

House, Lacy, Cook and we're onto the draft?

Need a corner. Getting Perry back just puts us at the status quo, i.e. giving up another 35-40 points to a playoff offense. Need to sign a corner, even if not a top 5 guy (in addition to House).

If we don't sign Lang G becomes a huge hole. I guess we could kick BB inside and roll with Spriggs or Murphy at RT. I hope we can find a way to bring back one of Tretter or Lang but I don't see that happening now.
