Continuing with this offseason, it's obvious that the Jets are going to be bad next year. We need talent on both sides of the field, we need to develop some of our own talent to see if we even have any. While we do this, it's all about positioning ourselves to be in prime position for 2018.

Further Cuts:
David Harris
Marcus Gilchrist
Buster Skrine
Steve McLendon
Eric Decker

Trades:
- Matt Forte for a conditional seventh round pick. It's essentially doing the right thing by Forte, the pick would have some serious conditions to be yielded.

- Sheldon Richardson to the Browns for the 65th overall pick. The potential pairing of Garrett, Shelton and Richardson would make this defensive line formidable. We pick up a third round pick.

Free Agency:
I honestly wouldn't waste the money, I rather let the money roll over so that we can really splurge in 2018. The goal of the Jets is to position themselves so we can address holes that will be glaring after this tough year.

Draft Day Trade:
- Jets trade the 6th pick to the Eagles for the 14th pick and 43rd pick. The Eagles make a move up for either Fournette or Williams, both make sense.

Draft:
13th: Corey Davis - Sure hands, YAC and size. Has all the tools.
39th: David Njoku - Elite pass catcher who can stretch the field.
43rd: Adoree Jackson - Great corner and even better special team player.
65th: Roderick Johnson - Someone has to try and play LT.
70th- Raekwon McMillian - Raekwon and Lee back at it again.
107th: Eddie Jackson - Ballhawk at free safety.
150th: Sam Rogers - Simply a maniac.
191st: Marlon Mack - Forms 1-2 with Powell.
224th: Jake Elliot - Because Folk ain't walking through that door.

Depth Chart:
Offense
QB: Petty vs Hackenberg
RB: Powell l Mack
FB: Rogers
WR: Davis l Enunwa l Peake l Anderson l Smith
TE: Njoku l ASJ
Offensive Line: Johnson l Carpenter l Johnson l Winters l Shell

Defense:
Defensive Line: Williams l Simon l Wilkerson
Linebackers: Mauldin l Lee l McMillian l Jenkins
Corners: Burris l Williams l Jackson l Roberts
Safeties: Pryor l Jackson

P: Edwards l K: Elliot

It's all about positioning ourselves for a chance at Darnold/Rosen so that this team finally has a legit QB if Hackenberg or Petty can't cut it this year.

In addition to that, the Jets are looking at a truckload of money to throw at potential free agents.

I'm fine with the draft, and the cuts, but I think it would be nice to sign at least a few guys. You can only carry over so much money, and there is some nice young talent in FA this year.

Almost every player you have us drafting is projected to go earlier than you have us drafting them, so it looks good, but unrealistic imo.

I would like to see one mock off season where someone doesn't trade Forte. Laughing

Especially since he's in his 30's, has a 5 mil cap hit, the RB draft class is very strong, and as a result, current FA RB's will command a lot less.
