Buffalo is keeping Tyrod Taylor on a restructured contract, per sources.

Called that one, haha. Quote is from Schefter, by the way.

Absolutely the right move by the Bills. We now have a clear direction. I will post the numbers when they are announced (leaked).

Carucci:
Quote:
Under restructured deal w #Bills, Tyrod Taylor gets $7M signing bonus. Cap value for '16 goes from $16M to just under $10M.

Quote:
Tyrod Taylor's restructured deal w #Bills covers 5 years total. After the first 2 years, it becomes a year-to-year agreement.

Frees up $6 million.

Don't look past the fact that he stayed and took a different contract, likely with less money, to stay here when he could have cashed in somewhere else. This dude is a team player and wants to win with the Bills, even after all the crap he was put through at the end of last year. GOOD FOR HIM.

I wonder if he will figure out to read through progressions

Does this take Watson of our board at 10 ?

To keep Tyrod around even at a restructure it is a sign that it is their Qb for the next couple of years, which I would assume bills will want an instant starter at pick 10 so i think any qb at 10 is out of the question. Bills have to many holes and not enough draft picks to spend a high pick on a qb to develop

Best case scenario. Awesome. Let's go fill some holes in free agency.

This is perfect. Taylor is a QB but the question was always if he was worth the contract. This just made to much sense for both sides.

Good for us is more like it. I don't know why he would take less money for an organization that left him out to dry, he's a bigger man than a lot of players.

I actually feel bad seeing Glennon getting absolutely paid and probably making more money than Tyrod who has actually played a substantial amount of games and has a pretty decent resume. The Bills definitely got the better side of the deal here.

It makes all the sense in the world for us but I don't see how it makes sense for him. If Glennon is getting $15m than Tyrod could get closer to $20m easily.

Restructuring doesnt necessarily mean that he is getting paid less money it may free up money this year but add to next year which they have 64 million in cap space.

That is true. I can't wait to see the details to it.
