Michigan tweeted out the fastest 40 times among the position groups, and in general they were pretty slow (4.64 for its RBs).
4.64 is a fairly realistic time for Chris Evans. He's a true sophomore and his game isn't built around pure speed. If Gary ran a 4.57 then he improved his 40 time by .20 to .30 seconds in just a few weeks. His real 40 is much closer to a 4.80 to 4.90 (which is still impressive).

I'm interested in Baylor's pro day. WR Ishmael Zamora is a very intriguing prospect.

Agreed. I want to see how athletic he is. He looks like a freak on the field.

The blend of size and fluidity on the field is special. He has very solid hands and uses his body well. People can knock him for being lazy when the ball isn't coming his way but it looks like that how all the Baylor WRs are. He's going to be a steal.

Yeah hes one of my favorite guys.

If he really wants it he can be really good. I love how fluid he is catching the ball.

He is the guy who beat his dog so he's going to fall, but it's not Joe Mixon bad so if he seems honest and remorseful he's a first round talent.

Yes. Don't like him as a person, but he has a Josh Gordon-like skill-set on the field.

You'd think someone would have just thought to bring a radar gun and measure him snap to snap.

Come to think of it, I'm not entirely sure why the NFL doesn't do the same for every game. Seeing QB ball velocity play to play would be an interesting feature.... and give us real metrics for comparison beyond the combines "Well Watson threw the ball one time @ 49MPH" without any real context on the route he was throwing, the receiver he was throwing to, etc.

As someone who knows sports scientists of professional teams...I assure you that there are more analytics being measured than you would ever want to know. They are just being held close to the vest by teams. The combine officials are definitely behind in regards to this technology...but they will eventually improve to the point that I'm sure the combine will eventually look nothing like it does today.

Michigan's mock NFL combine event this winter produced eye-opening numbers, especially for sophomore DL Rashan Gary. Gary was timed at 4.57-seconds in the 40-yard dash ... at 6-5, 287-pounds. That would have ranked No. 3 among all defensive linemen at last month's NFL Combine.

Gary also notched a 31-inch vertical jump, a 25.98 seconds 200 shuttle and a 9-6 broad jump.

Freshman receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones ran a 4.41 second 40 to lead the team and notched a 39-inch vertical jump, also best on the team.

Sophomore Chris Evans was the team's fastest running back with a 4.64-second 40. Sophomores David Long and Lavert Hill led defensive backs with 4.52-second 40-yard dashes.

gary.... Shocked

It's a shame so many of these top-level talents are such scumbags as human beings because on the field, they sure are exciting.

#UCLA CB Fabian Moreau suffered what's believed to be a pectoral injury during the bench press today. Full injury extent not clear yet.

Any word on Chad Williams pro day #'s? I read he attended Louisiana Techs pro day instead of Grambling, but that's all I could find.

I have an general question

When teams bring QBs in for private workouts who are the receivers.

No way it can be the teams receivers or do they even use receivers? Tryout players can someone explain that me I've always wondered
