Just had NFL source (in attendance at Washington pro day) text:

"It's a torn Achilles" he was told for CB Sidney Jones. As feared.

That's just awful. Does he slide far? What's his rehab time?

Washington's Budda Baker said the injury to Sidney Jones occurred on the last defensive back drill of the day.

Brutal

Feel horrible for the guy.

On the bright side Achilles injuries are not as bad as they used to be people have been coming back from them far better than they used to.

I'd still draft him. The Vikings never play their rookies in the first year anyway.

Browns should turn the card in now for Garrett, don't let him get hurt at his pro day.

This is not true.

Quote:
Of the 31 players who sustained an Achilles tendon rupture, 21 (64%) returned to play in the NFL at an average of 11 months after injury. In the three seasons following their return, those 21 players saw significant decreases in games played and power ratings compared to the three seasons preceding the injury.

Yes, but we haven't made huge advancements in that time frame when it comes to achilles injuries. They're incredibly hard to fully recover from.
