Guion might be without a job soon.

We'd save 3 million by cutting him, right? I think it might be a good idea. I wouldn't mind having him next year, I wouldn't mind not having him next year.

He played well for us last year, and the suspension will save us $904,166. Why cut him besides it looks bad to have a suspended player?

I'm not advocating cutting him or anything, just thinking out loud.

He was pretty bad last yr by my estimations and at this point the bad outweighs the good with him, may as well cut him & pick up the $3+ mill.

Great piece in short yardage situations. Brute strength and physicality when he's in a phone booth. I still remember him destroying the Redskins' interior line on that critical goal line stand in 2015 WC.

But he offers next to no rush, Clark is a young and up-and-coming piece, and Daniels obviously returns. Lowry's development helps here too; he showed promise as the season wore on.

Guion might be gone because of this.

I wouldn't be upset if we added another DL piece on day 2 or early day 3. You can never have enough bigs. Guion's price tag and imminent suspension make it much more likely TT reinforces our depth during the draft.

Guion is willing to restructure! Maybe a blessing here Smile

They're kind of light on the DL already aren't they? This is not exactly a great crop in the draft either.

Light is relative. I wouldn't define Clark-Daniels-Lowry-Ringo [+ draft pick or two] as light.

It'd definitely be light if one of them went down, though.

If he isn't cut, Clark isn't going to give him his starting spot back

I don't think they're any worse off than last year & DL played well. Clark & Lowry looked good as rookies & should be ready for more snaps. they're bringing back Ringo, who did ok filling in during Pennel's suspension last season. I think they have enough bodies to make it through 4 games.
