Releashed-
OG Roger Saffold
HB Tre Mason
C Tim Barnes
TE Lance Kendricks
DE Eugene Sims
Re-sign-
CB Trumaine Johnson - (Franchise Tag)
K Greg Zuerlein - 3 years $7.5 million
HB Benny Cunningham - 3 years $6 million
DT Dominique Easley - RFA Tender
DE Ethan Westbrooks - RFA Tender
DE Matt Longacre - ERFA Tender
Let Walk-
WR Kenny Britt - I really like him as a player, but with Fisher gone, we just don't know what we are getting
SS T.J. McDonald - I really like TJ also, but with Maurice being a better fit at Strong Safety, we can use this money for new talent.
QB Case Keenum - We decide to allow him to get a reserve role in another offense, Sean is our backup.
WR Brian Quick - It is just time for a change, Quick has some talent but he just couldn't figure it out with us.
Free Agency
WR Alshon Jeffrey - 5 years $60 million
Yes the Rams are not playing this year. They go out and grab the best receiver in free agency. Alshon will give the Rams a very talented #1 receiver who which is a sure handed route running specialist that we have so been desiring. Jeffrey is an absolute playmaker, he will come in as a veteran leader of McVays offense. Alshon will give Goff a very nice safety blanket to go to for a play and red zone specialist.
OG Ronald Leary - 5 years $40 million
The Rams grab an very good guard in Leary, if it wasn't for how loaded the Cowboys offensive line is, Ronald wouldn't off hit free agency, that's our gain. The Rams are not playing around about being a contender in the NFC and growing the new fan base out here in LA. By grabbing Ronald this will give the Rams a very good interior protector. This is a great signing for the Rams, Jared Goff will finally start to have the proper pieces around and in front of him.
NT Terrell McClain - 3 years $9 million
Terrell was very disruptive in the interior of the Cowboys defensive line. McClain will be an excellent run stuffing tackle that can get pressure up the middle for the Rams. This is another under the radar strong signing where we get another veteran starter and leader for Wades defense.
OT Ryan Clady - 2 years $8 million
The Rams FO stay extremely busy with grabbing another veteran lineman. Ryan is an very talented Tackle who have had some injury issues of late. So we sign him to a cheap prove it deal. If he can stay healthy, this would give the Rams an excellent steal in the offseason.
CB Kayvon Webster - 2 years $8 million
The Rams are trying to duplicate what the Broncos had to offer with Wade Phillips. The Rams secondary was very weak last season, so we grab another young and up incoming corner to go along with Trumaine for the Rams. Wade Phillips will have another veteran starting slot cornerbacks that knows Phillips defense, giving us depth E.J. being in rotation.
QB Josh McCown - 2 year $5.5 million
Josh is an veteran back up will come in and compete with Sean Mannion for the back up position. McCown has had plenty of playing experience, if something happen to Goff Josh would come in and run the offense if need be.
S Duke Ihenacho - 1 year $2.5 million
Duke comes in on a 1 year prove deal where he also gives us more completion and depth at the safety position. Duke was a big fan of Joe Barry, so working with Wade and Joe will be a nice for him.
OC/OG Stefen Wisnienski - 2 year $5 million
ILB/OLB Dakota Watson - 2 year $2.5 million
NT Sean Lissemore - 2 year $2 million
2017 LA Rams NFL Draft
***Rams trade DE William Hayes and Round 7 Pick #5 to the Browns for Round 6 Pick #1***
2nd Rd T.J. Watt-OLB, Wisconsin
3rd Rd Josh Reynolds-WR, Texas A&M
[b]***Trade Alert*** The Los Angeles Rams trade picks 2017 4th Rd (5), 5th Rd (5), 6th Rd (5) and 2017 7th Rd (16) to the Minnesota Vikings for picks 2017 3rd (22), 5th Rd (14) and 7th Rd (15)***
Boom, we have a huge draft day trade where the Rams decide to make the move to jump up and get their guy. The Rams jump back into the third round to grab their corner of the future in Witherspoon. They give up an additional 6th and 2018 7th rounder with this portion of this huge trade. Than they decide to jump back and swap 5th rounders in order to recoup a 7th rounder from the Viking. LA feels that this is draft steal and that Ahkello has the potential and skill set to be a high quality player in this league. Witherspoon has all the intangibles that you are looking for in a big cover corner.
3rd Rd ( Minnesota ) Ahkello Witherspoon-CB, Colorado
4th Rd Comp Pick Jon Toth-OC, Kentucky
5th Rd ( Minnesota ) Jonnu Smith-TE, Florida International
6th Rd ( Browns ) Ejuan Price-OLB, Pittsburgh
7th Rd ( Minnesota ) Connor McDermott-OT, UCLA

I feel that with these additions in the off season as well as the draft, that we will be playoff contenders immediately. I feel like we would fill the gapping holes with strong veteran leaders and some explosive young playmakers. I'm not a cap person so I'm a little nervous with some of the numbers, but hopefully we could pull off this off season. Please let me know what you think about this one! _________________ DIE HARD RAMS FAN

I certainly wouldn't mind this offseason, but, I too don't think we can afford this. Also, as much as I love Jeffrey, I'm wondering if we should go big on him rather then a good OLineman. As much time as Jeffrey spends in the training room, we could dig ourselves a hole. _________________ Welcome to the LA Rams

Appreciate it, I'm hoping that we could afford this also. This would most definitely make us a contender. _________________ DIE HARD RAMS FAN

Hey Flatlyner, I hope that we could afford this also, maybe restructuring Tavons contract might help also. In this mock I wanted to switch it up a little bit from my past few mocks where it was the same similar free agents, Peirre, Desean, Adrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler. So I decided to go big with the best young receiver in FA. I feel that if we could grab a bonafide #1 Receiver along with a really good guard in Ronald Leary that would be huge for the Rams. Then if we could possibly grab one of the recently released veteran Left Tackles in Ryan Clady, or evan a Russell Okung on a cheap and short prove it deal, that would give us a better and stronger offensive line. I also understand the concerns with Alshon, but I absolutely think that a proven receiver of his caliber would be worth the risk. Now just a side note, don't sleep on Josh Reynolds, I think he will be a steal in this years draft in my opinion. He reminds me of a thinner Mike Evans, of course it doesn't help that they both played at the same school, lol. _________________ DIE HARD RAMS FAN

We're not going to restructure Tavon's contract. I don't think we even can.
Also, I think Jeffery is going to get quite a bit more than that based on the rumors going around right now.
I agree with Flatlyner; I don't think we can afford Jeffery and Leary after franchising Tru. _________________
