I am told the #Jets plan on addressing the KR/PR position early on in the draft with BPA in that area. I'm guessing 2nd at the earliest.

Interesting.
Adoree' Jackson fits the bill and fits multiple needs (corner, return man, etc.).

I don't believe anything the Jets put out pre draft. Since Macc got here we have been so tight lipped. My guess would be we did not meet with whoever we want to draft at 6, if teams don't know who you want they won't trade ahead of you to get that player.

Adoree Jackson, McCaffrey or Peppers all fit that roll and imo are the only ones worth a 2nd round pick.

Mc Caffery can be a lot more than just a KR /PR, I don't think he will make the second round, when we pick again.

I think if we can trade Pryor/Sheldon and our 2nd to make sure we get Peppers that could be a huge move. He is just such a gamer, can play a slew of different positions we need, and he's from the area.

If we draft either Jonathan Allen or Marshon Lattimore, I'll be pretty upset

Quote:
#6 - S Malik Hooker / Jamal Adams
#39 - TE Evan Engram / O.J. Howard

This is my current favorite realistic scenario

At this point for me selecting at 6 is a major disappointment. I really hope CLE/ARI want to move up for a QBOTF.

I'd do #6 for either 12/13 plus their 3rd
or
#6 and Sheldon for 12/13 plus their 2nd.

CLE has 2 third rounders and ARI has given up picks for position of needs to make a run see Jones trade.

I'd then look at teams like BAL/TEN/TB who need WR help especially BAL/TEN and see if they want to jump PHI for Williams/Ross/etc because they have to know PHI is desperate for a WR.

That way we can add another 3rd for dropping from 12/13 to late teens.

TEN has ammo with 2 third rounders as well.

We could potenitally have 18, 38, 45, 70 and 107
or
18, 38, 70, 76, 83, 107 and hopefully another 3rd from a Richardson trade.

Huge advantage to moving down in what could be a historically deep draft. Most of the trades we lose out on from a trade chart stand point but that's usually what happens when moving back. Since the draft is so deep I'm OK with that though.

Having as many as 7 picks in the top 107 or 5 in the top 107 with 3 being top 45 that could be huge for our rebuild.

I prefer the extra third rounders because round 3 is going to be littered with RB, TE, CB, S and ILB starting caliber prospects. We could address nearly every position with 4-5 third rounders.

Can't say I'd be disappointed in that either. A Hooker/Engram combo gives us two star caliber players at major positions of need.

I do have a man crush on TJ Watt though and really want to find a way to get him on the Jets. That's why I want to trade down because if we get to the mid to late teens I'd take Watt there. I know he won't get to our 2nd and 6 is a reach.

Watt - Minter - Lee - Jenkins (Mauldin 3rd down)
Wilk - Simon - Williams

That front 7 would have me pumped.

That's what I'm pretty much at now too. Add Solomon Thomas to that list too.

I can't see Howard there at 39 and I think Engram would be a reach at 39.

Hooker is my guy at 6, but I'd be applicable to a trade down scenario. If we trade down, I'd take a hard look at OJ Howard and John Ross. This team needs a young playmaker on offense more than anything. Enunwa and Robby are nice complimentary pieces, but we need an ace.

If we move down, I'm all for Adoree Jackson + Budda Baker with a pair of second rounders.

A Ross or Howard + Jackson + Baker with 2 or 3 3rd rounders to play with? Mannnn that's how you speed up the rebuild.

I love this guy. If we miss out on safety in the first round(or go offense for the first time since 09) I would love to grab him one the second
