@AdamSchefter

Chiefs are releasing RB Jamaal Charles, per source.

Don't think that must be the end of his KC tenure. May be he wants to check the market before deciding on a pay cut.

it already happened. And the statements by Hunt, Dorsey, and Reid don't sound like they'll try to get him back.

If he's ok and plays/starts somewhere else, im done with this team. We could really use him even at that contract...LDT couldve waited. Maybe hes not the same any more idk...will wait and see.

Jamaal, I love ya man. Even if you don't make it on another team you bested Jim Brown in Yards/carry. That's enough to make the HOF. Congratulations !!

Ok.. so Jamal is officiallly a Bronco. ONE year contract.

900k base (vet min)
100k workout

about 2.5 M$ in gameday incentives

I'm pretty sure something like that was on the table at 1, Arrowhead Drive a while ago. Unless Dorsey didn't believe in him at all.

I would imagine Charles thought he could get more, along with a guaranteed starting position, when he initially left us. Then he slowly found out the market wasn't there, and by that point, we had moved on.

Quote:
“I always wanted to play for Denver,” Charles said, via Andrew Mason of the team’s official website. “Growing up, John Elway was one of my favorite players.”

Now, he gets to face the team which cut him twice a year, and it sounds like he relishes the opportunity.

“They say it’s a business, but it’s personal as well,” he said. “It is what is.”

Well it didn't have to be personal. Good luck in the wars to come!

Bridges should be fire proof considering hes been paid handsomely despite not playing for a couple years. Oh well, i guess we'll see how he does there.

Well, that doesn't read like he's considering retiring as a Chief right now. Weird.
