Hello Rams fans!

I was playing around with a mock and thought I'd ask here.

Would LA likely (or you specifically) accept-

2017 3rd earlier than a compensatory pick should he walk in 2018)
2018 3rd ( conditional to be a 2nd if he matches 2015's performance and signs a long term deal)

Or

2017 3rd
CB Fuller
2018 4th

In return for Johnson? Or another counter offer you would have?

Thanks for any feedback guys

I would assume the front office is set on getting a 2nd rounder, whether it be this season or next. Wouldn't trade him for anything less.

I see. I read that in this thread but thought with the 3rd rounder being the 3rd pick and another (likely) early to mid round 3rd the following year might be of the same value. Or if Fuller would have carried any value as well.

I'm not sure Pace would deal the high 2nd without getting something in return as well, especially with the depth at CB this year.

Frankly, I'd pull the trigger on the Fuller deal without thinking twice. But that doesn't mean the Rams would do it.

Tru posted something on Instagram basically symbolizing that he's ready to commit to the Rams. My guess is hes sticking around.

Good, hopefully they work something out. Really excited about our defense his year.

Nah we were like 0-5 and I said we sucked.. Even Jrry couldn't take the losses and turned.

It's the optimistic Rams forum. They've threatened to ban me before for pessimism. That should say a lot considering I'm one of the most optimistic people in this forum. It's a nice change from other Rams forums. The constant negativity gets tiresome.

Besides Malcolm Butler likely staying with #Patriots this year, #Rams CB Trumaine Johnson, subject of trade talks, is also staying for 17

Certainly hope we get a deal done then, paying him that much is crazy right now.

Agreed, it would be nice to free up a little more cap space. Just for when the camp cuts start.

You guys are the joke of the league right now. Franchising him two years in a row is a joke. He's going to make 16.74 million this year. He a slightly above average starting corner back. Pro Football Focus ranks him as the 25th best CB in the league. There are 64 starting corners in the league. If I was a Rams fan I'd be furious with this. You should just let this guy go and signed another CB for half the money and probably still have gotten a better football player. Or just simply draft one. This is the deepest CB draft ever they are saying. Now I know you are limited in draft picks, but somehow you could have come up with a 2nd or third round pick and grabbed a guy with first round talent. 16.74 million dollars is good starting quarterback money, not average CB money. I wouldn't even pay the best CB in the league 16.74 million. Why would he ever sign a long term deal now? The way he's been doing it is he gets a 20% raise every year. And he's way way way overpaid already. I'm glad I'm not a Rams fan these days being run by incompetent people.
