Hunter should start over Griffen at RE. He probably won't as others have said given Zimmers preference to sit talented young players needlessly.

Griffen does his job very well, though. The current rotation works extremely well when the Vikings put points on the board, and I'd hate to see them tamper with it too much.

Beasley. The jump he made from his rookie year to year 2 has been impressive. Hunter is good in his own right but Vic still has room to grow as a player. He will eventually get better against the run but that's not really important in today's passing league.

But why doesn't Hunter have more room to grow, too?

He's younger than Beasley, and is currently second string. He's also much larger than Beasley, and put up only marginally worse combine numbers.

He does, as an edge rusher but I don't see him ever being as dominant as Vic off the edge. Just as I don't ever see Vic being as good as Hunter against the run even with improvement. That's just not his game.

Do you think Minnesota would have traded Hunter for a top 5 pick in this past draft?

No poll?

I'll preface this by saying I haven't seen much of Hunter. But I have seen a bit of Beasley. And he's a goddamn monster. Give me him.
