Releashed-
HB Tre Mason
C Tim Barnes
TE Lance Kendricks
DE Eugene Sims

Re-sign-
CB Trumaine Johnson - 5 years $60 million
K Greg Zuerlein - 3 years $7.5 million
HB Benny Cunningham - 3 years $6 million
DT Dominique Easley - RFA Tender
DE Ethan Westbrooks - RFA Tender
DE Matt Longacre - ERFA Tender

Let Walk-
WR Kenny Britt - I really like him as a player, but with Fisher gone, we just don't know what we are getting
SS T.J. McDonald - I really like TJ also, but with Maurice being a better fit at Strong Safety, we can use this money for new talent.
QB Case Keenum - We decide to allow him to get a reserve role in another offense, Sean is our backup.
WR Brian Quick - It is just time for a change, Quick has some talent but he just couldn't figure it out with us.

Free Agency

OG Kevin Zeitler - 5 years $50 million

The Rams grab an outstanding guard in Zeitler, can't believe that it look like the Bengels are choosing Andrew over Kevin in free agency, that's our gain.
The Rams are not playing around about being a contender in the NFC and growing the new fan base out here in LA. By grabbing Kevin this will give the Rams a very good interior protector. This is a great signing for the Rams, Jared Goff will finally start to have the proper pieces around and in front of him.

WR Pierre Garcon - 3 years $27 million

Pierre will give the Rams a very talented sure handed route running specialist that we have so been desiring. Garcon will come in as a veteran leader of McVays offense. Garcon will give Goff a very nice safety blanket to go to for a play.

NT Terrell McClain - 3 years $9 million

Terrell was very disruptive in the interior of the Cowboys defensive line. McClain will be an excellent run stuffing tackle that can get pressure up the middle for the Rams. This is another under the radar strong signing where we get another veteran starter and leader for Wades defense.

CB Kayvon Webster - 2 years $8.5 million

The Rams are trying to duplicate what the Broncos had to offer with Wade Phillips. The Rams secondary was very weak last season, so we grab another young and up incoming corner to go along with Trumaine for the Rams. Wade Phillips will have another veteran starting slot cornerbacks that knows Phillips defense, giving us depth E.J. being in rotation.

QB Josh McCown - 2 year $5.5 million

Josh is an veteran back up will come in and compete with Sean Mannion for the back up position. McCown has had plenty of playing experience, if something happen to Goff Josh would come in and run the offense if need be.

SS Matt Elam - 1 year $1.5 million

Elam comes in on a 1 year prove deal where he also gives us more completion and depth at the safety position.

2017 LA Rams NFL Draft

***Rams trade DE William Hayes and Round 7 Pick #5 to the Browns for Round 6 Pick #1***

2nd Rd Zay Jones-WR, East Carolina

3rd Rd Ryan Anderson-ILB/OLB, Alabama

[b]***Trade Alert*** The Los Angeles Rams trade picks 2017 4th Rd (5), 5th Rd (5), 6th Rd (5) and 2018 7th Rd to the Minnesota Vikings for picks 2017 3rd (22), 5th Rd (14) and 7th Rd (15)***

Boom, we have a huge draft day trade where the Rams decide to make the move to jump up and get their guy. The Rams jump back into the third round to grab their corner of the future in Witherspoon. They give up an additional 6th and 2018 7th rounder with this portion of this huge trade. Than they decide to jump back and swap 5th rounders in order to recoup a 7th rounder from the Viking. LA feels that this is draft steal and that Ahkello has the potential and skill set to be a high quality player in this league. Witherspoon has all the intangibles that you are looking for in a big cover corner.

3rd Rd ( Minnesota ) Ahkello Witherspoon-CB, Colorado

4th Rd Comp Pick Jon Toth-OC, Kentucky

5th Rd ( Minnesota ) Jonnu Smith-TE, Florida International

6th Rd ( Browns ) Ejuan Price-OLB, Pittsburgh

6th Rd Comp Pick Connor McDermott-OT, UCLA

7th Rd ( Minnesota ) Ahmad Thomas-FS, Oklahoma

Projected Starters

QB: Jared Goff
HB: Todd Gurley
FB: Cory Harkey

I like everything except one: any team with Greg Robinson as its starting left tackle is not "PlayOff Ready".

There's a lot to like in this mock. One thing I notices is that $27M is likely enough for 3 years of Garcon not 5 years.

@distantram it's starting to sound like Kromer doesn't feel there will be a lot of changes along the OLine from last year. He's giving us the distinct impression that he can coach up the current bunch to success. I wouldn't be shocked if we only see one or two new additions to the OLine. Besides the fact there really aren't many better options available. Whitworth is likely to resign and anybody else available in free agency is going to cost a lot or is old and injury prone. Or just as unproven as GRob. And there are only a couple LT in the draft that likely step in day 1 to start and they're going to be gone before our pick. Unfortunately we may have to see what Kromer can do with GRob this year.

Thanks again for the response man, I wanted in this mock to try and keep it as realistic as possible. That's why I don't having us grabbing an Alshon Jeffrey and a person like Kevin Zeitler along with retaining Trumaine Johnson all in the same mock. So looking at all the holes that we have, the isn't anyway realistically to feel every position in one offseason. Yes I would love to have an stud LT, but with Adrew Whitworth ( the best value) going back to the Bengals most likely. I'm not seeing anyone in free agency that you can sign to start right now and also be able to sign Kevin Zeitler also. As far as the draft, with no first, where do you think we can find a bonafide starting LT in a very weak OT draft this year. Forest Lamp might not make it out of the first either, and he might move to the interior line as well. So the way I see it, if we grab the right peices around Jared Goff, and give him an strong interior offensive line. Than he should be able to step up and make some plays this year. Dont forget that we can also move Roger to LT and Greg to LG if need be. Now I'm excited about Kromer coming to be a teacher as well as coach. I truly believe that Gregs biggest problem is technique/fundamentals. Greg has shown that when he's not holding that he can play.

Hey NVRAMSFAN, thanks for the response. I did this mock late lastnight, lol, i didn't notice that I put a 5 for 3 for Garcon, thanks man I missed that.

Yeah I'm hoping that Kromer will be a big help for Greg. When I watch film, he has so much talent and strength. It looks like he just goes on Vacation in his mind or something, lol, than trys to recover by grabbing because he's about to be beat. I think this better teaching, coacing and play callings that we can minimize the weaknesses of some of our linemen. Especially if the run game come alive this season.

Sadly, I don't believe we can.

As both you and NVRams Fan have rightly stated, there really is a dearth of LT talent available this off-season, both in the draft and via free agency. It looks as though, as detailed by NV, we are going to be stuck with Robinson for 2017; although we all must hope that Aaron Kromer and his team can work the oracle and turn GRob into a quality tackle, I still believe that his future lies as a mauling guard. I just pray that Goff doesn't get ruined by another year of having little-to-no protection on his blind side.

there may be some teams that end up releasing some valuable LT's to create cap space such as Branden Albert, Jason Peters, Kelvin Beachum, Ryan Clady, Russell Okung...I wouldn't count out a possibility of landing a solid LT.

LOL....yea, but have seen more pro bowls than anyone on our team besides Hekker and Donald, haha. I'm sure there has to be some left in the tank for a couple of them and some team will end up benefiting from it.....it always works that way. It's also a much better upgrade than what we have now. We need leadership and experience and skill.

Yes I totally agree, hopefully one of them would have something left in the tank.
