I'm a bondsman. I get people out of jail all the time with "terroristic threat" charges. 60% of the time it's a guy who got into a verbal altercation, and told the other party that they would (in varying phrases)beat them up. Rarely was there a physical assault. Usually just a threat of assault.

So in most instances a "terroristic threat" charge isn't as egregious as an "assault'" charge. Makes no sense but that's the way it is.

It's also pretty common for Terroristic threat charges to be tacked on to assault charges. A little legal advice here: If you are beating someone up, try your best to keep your damn mouth shut. Many times guys are hurling death threats as they are laying into the other guys face. If you can punch in silence then you protect yourself from getting a terroristic threat charge on top of your assault.

What about the other three felonies? What a joke.

The entire NFL should be ashamed.

Why? What does the rest of the league have anything to do with this?

So all charges were dropped because Revis' buddy admitted to knocking out both of the young men and uttering the threats. This is why you have encourages. Laughing

I wonder if the league will still punish him?

Because the average person on the street would be thrown in jail with the key locked away if they had even one or two felonies pending against them much less 4 or 5.

This is just another example of a famous and rich person hiring the best lawyer possible and somehow skirting jail time. Just like all the dozens upon dozens assaults and domestic violence cases which for normal people is guaranteed jail time, but for NFL players its a court hearing and then nothing.

Don't know what you're so upset about. Revis is a clean guy who has always kept to himself. You can tell by the way he deals with the media. It was pretty apparent from the beginning this was all perpetrated by the two 'victims' who was trying to get something out of Revis that concluded in the altercation.

Not upset I just called this the day after the incident happened. People were thinking he was going to do serious time, and I knew he was going to have a fall guy. He took Chris Carters Rookie Symposium advice.
