After what happened at the combine, he'll either be red-flag or won't be on their board.

Beats get their KR in Benny Cunningham.

Don't be surprised if they sign Sanchez to be their back up QB

Clearly which is why they flew him out to Chicago, had him spend the whole day at Halas Hall then to dinner with Vic Fangio.... weeks after this incident.

I don't really see the point.

Because they aren't going with Connor Shaw as our main backup...we need to sign a vet behind Glennon.

Connor Shaw and a rookie

Every single snap that Sanchez would take would be a total waste, the same way that every snap Hoyer took was wasted.

At least give them to a young guy who might develop into something. Sanchez is a guaranteed loss with no upside left.

Agreed. We aren't contending (barely competing with him playing) with Sanchez, at least with a rookie you might get some experience under their belt to allow them to develop.

Sanchez sucks, we do not need to give him more reps to figure that out.

Shaw or a rookie...both aren't making the roster because we will have a vet behind Glennon...Sanchez may suck but we need someone with some kind of experience on this team.

Quote:
Free agents DE Greg Hardy, TE Kellen Winslow, CB Brandon Browner, and RB Ben Tate will all play in next month's three-week Spring League.

Not directly associated with the NFL, the Spring League will be held at The Greenbrier in West Virginia and have four games played between April 16-26 and wrap up before the draft. There will reportedly be four teams, playing a total of six games. Hardy is still just 28 but has had numerous run-ins with the law in recent years and spent 2016 out of the league.

Interesting concept that might give a lot of guys a second chance.

Why do we need someone with experience?

Glennon has been in the league for 4 years has multiple starts. Do we really need Sanchez to mentor him? Do we really want Sanchez mentoring a rookie?

We need Sanchez so we don't end up with another Matt Barkley...it's easy to say Sanchez sucks but the truth of the matter is there simply aren't many guys who can play QB in the NFL...72 starts in the NFL is an important factor and we should be looking for that kind of experience in our backup...even if they do draft a QB we don't want him seeing the field next season.

All things considered, Barkley was not a bad backup...
