Hey Guys, This is the War Room for the Los Angeles Rams for the Total Control Mock Draft #2.

This is the War room where you can follow what I am doing for the Rams in this mock. I will be updating everything here fairly often so it will be easier to check in here then to be searching through the GM Mock Forum.

You can post anything you guys would like such as suggestions, critiques and more. I am always willing for help and ideas of what I can do better and how to make the Rams better.

Cap Space: Not much Very Happy

2: Jordan Willis - OLB - Kansas State - So excited I got Willis at #37. His film is meh but his measurable's are off the charts and excited to see him Opposite Robert Quinn
Comp
3: Chris Godwin - WR- Penn State - 100% shocked he lasted this far. Great hands.
Comp: Allen Robinson
4: Howard Wilson - CB - Houston - Only a RSoph he has huge potential to be special.
Comp: Jeremy Lane
4: Jonnu Smith - TE - Florida International - Jonnu has the potential to be a Jordan Reed-like player in McVay's scheme
Comp: Jordan Reed
6: Aarion Penton - CB - Mizzou - As a Mizzou fan, I got to watch him on a weekly basis and while he doesn't have the size of #1 corner, his ability is right up there with many of the 1st rounders

Hey Guys, So Kevin Zeitler was Franchise Tagged. Who should I go try to get at all costs? Whitworth? Leary? Lang?

I'd go after Leary or Warford. They're both attainable.

Doesn't he play the same position as Havenstein?

I believe he is a RT so I'm not sure.... He doesn't have a crazy huge cap at 5 million but I"m trying to bolster the line depth so I'm not sure. Also have an offer for Zach Strief on the table

Havenstein is a RT only player. I'd avoid bolstering the depth with expensive vets. If you're going to trade for an OT, I'd aim for a guy who can play LT.

Yeah, and Massie really isn't anything near special. He looked like a duck out of water at RT in Arizona. And the only reason he really looked effective in Chicago was because he had Kyle Long playing inside of him. Massie's a good run-blocker but struggling in pass-pro. That's not worth his $6m APY that he's contracted to right now.

If we were going to go fish for veteran depth at the tackle spots with a late round pick, go see if the Redskins are willing to trade Ty Nsekhe (their 31-year-old ERFA they just retained; anyone remember him when he used to be a Ram for a cup of a coffee?). Their staff seems to favor Vinston Painter more highly, but Nsekhe has in-game reps in McVay's scheme at both tackle spots and performed quite well from what I saw. We could take a stab at Doug Free in free agency too; there's starting experience at LOT and ROT there; he's likely to start declining soon (if last year wasn't already of sign of his body starting to break down), but depending on the cost, he's well-coached depth at worst.
