I like the Wagner signing.

He is one of the better RTs in the game and gives the Bears one of the better lines in the league.

here is a worksheet that has the RFA players that were given tender contract offers.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YXRawzP_POKwmFd6IOdAUBFrJGDaHqbegpx9Rv0SjDc/edit#gid=0

Outside teams are able to make a contract offer on them...deadline Feb 23 at 6PM EASTERN.

If you see anyone on there that peaks your interest, PM me or BowserBroncos with your targets.

Column 0 is the players Expected APY
Column P is the expected signing bonus
Column S is the level of the tendered offer.

Tough to give up a DL player, but getting the young QB and still having the 3rd overall pick was worth it.

Feel free to post your thoughts on this!!!

I dont like the trade. In general, NE wants too much for Garoppolo, and there is a team that will overpay for him. I hope it isnt us.

Secondly, Bullard was a rookie. He had bad plays. He had a few good ones. He may get better, or what we saw last year is what we have in him. We'd be giving up on him too early in his career.

I said in another thread, if we gave up one of our 4ths for Garoppolo, I'd be good with that. If we do the Cutler trade all over again, I'd be mad. I personally would rather draft a guy in the 1st or 2nd round.

How is this even close to the Cutler trade.

We are giving up a 2nd and getting a 3rd.

Bullard was horrendous last season. Late in the season he was benched with good reason. I know he can get better, but I am not too worried about a 3rd round DE that struggled.

I get what you are saying here.

Here were some other discussions on QB trades
McCarron: 2nd and 4th
Hundley: 3rd

Not really sure the Hundley deal would have happened being within the division. I think the GB GM is waiting for Hundley to increase his value before moving him.

I just do not like any of the rookie QB's enough to use the 3rd pick on one of them. Keeping the 1st round pick allows CHI to go best player and fill a need with (IMO) a better graded/rated player. I also was not liking the idea of having to trade back up into the later first to get a QB....likely costs 2017 2nd + 2018 1st.

If Garoppolo is the answer, he either gets franchise tagged or extended after 2017. IF he is not the answer, Chicago will know after the 2017 season and should not need to wait on his development. Unfortunate as that would be, you at least know after 1 year and can return to the search for the next QB in 2018. The concept of waiting for the rookie QB to develop...taking several years means you are in QB limbo and waiting on that player.

That is why (as someone has mentioned) a valid concept is selecting a rookie QB just about every year (middle round type prospects) so if the first one misses, you have another already in house and under development. Doing so until you hit on 1 as the franchise QB.

Love the safety additions and I mean love.

The biggest need is at safety and Jefferson is the best option after Berry.

Have you liked the Bradley McDougald sign too? I think we got the starters for the position in that round and now are in a good place to look elsewhere.

Fuller's a mystery still. Porter was bad last year. So you guys need to find someone in the trade market. You need atleast 2 corners.
