I also think there's a real possibility of Thomas being on the board at 8. Teams just don't seem enamored with him. Real possibility we take McCaffrey over him. It'd hurt the part of me that spent months delving into Thomas, but i'd be alright with it. I truly believe McCaffrey is special.

1.8. RB, Christian McCaffrey, Stanford
2.40. S, Obi Melifonwu, Connecticut
2.64. WR, Chris Godwin, Penn State

This would probably be my most (or one of my most) ideal first three picks when factoring in need, who we have met with, and who will likely be available.

I hope we're interested in JuJu in the 2nd even though we haven't met with him. I think he would be a really good fit in our offense. Possesses good size, hands, and the ability to play inside. The biggest concern would be his lack of speed, which I don't think will stop him from having success but probably not a good thing to add another receiver who can't separate consistently.

Realistically, one of those 2nd round picks will be used on a pass rusher if we don't take one in the 1st.

How do we feel about Demarcus Walker? I'd like to see him and Obi in round two.

I wouldn't mind trading back into the 1st for Jordan Willis, honestly.

Hearing some teams really like Willis.

Pretty confident we see a trade into the late first (don't know if I've said that before )

Zod from the Huddle says this is who he thinks our top eight is:

Myles Garrett
Leonard Fournette
Jamal Adams
Solomon Thomas
Marshon Lattimore
Gareon Conley (after this news prob not there anymore)
Christian McCaffrey
OJ Howard

I might begin dry heaving if we take Lattimore.

We didn't meet with Lattimore or Conley, so until that trend changes, I doubt this is our board.

Hearing a new rumor:

Quote:
When Fournette was a lad, he ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help him get large. Now, he's a man, he eats 5 dozen eggs. So he is roughly the size of a barge.

-NFC South Scout

Quote:
No one fights like Fournette, douces lights like Fournette. In a wrestling match, nobody bites like Fournette

- AFC West Scout

Clearly, they think this guy has a good motor and good size for the next level.

Some reporter is saying Solomon Thomas told him that Rivera assured him he'd be a Panther if he drops to 8.

Bill Voth responds on twitter by saying Thomas won't last past the Chargers :O

Lattimore would be interesting. I never gave him much consideration as a potential pick, but him and Bradberry would be a lethal combination at corner, assuming Lattimore can stay healthy (struggled with injuries at Ohio State). I would still rather have an offensive threat though.

I saw the same and then couldn't find that on the guy's twitter feed... one thing I did find on his twitter (can't recall the name) was a draft that projected Thomas to drop to... was it the teens or twenties? I dunno, I considered it crap at that point.

I really think our pick is down to Adams, McCaffrey or Thomas. I don't believe our stingy FO is willing to pay the price tag to jump up for Fournette. I would be totally comfortable with any of those three. I struggle back and forth between McCaffrey and Thomas.

the only way we have the option to get Thomas or Adams is if there is a QB run early. Chicago could shock the world and take a QB... or SF could trade down

I dunno if it would be that much of a shock.

Glennon is NOT their long term answer. They structured the contract in a way that almost screams that they will be taking a QB.

Now, if it is at 3 or not is the question.

I can't remember if it was Watson or Keiser... but they have met with some QBs and some multiple-times.
