Assuming Fournette is available at #3, do you see any scenario in which Carolina gives up #8, #40, and either #64 or a 2018 2nd round pick?

Would you consider it highly likely, likely, or unlikely?

Thanks!!

Good god no. To move five spots, I wouldn't give up more than #8, #64 and #98, and i'd consider even that a massive overpay.

Even I don't want to pay that price for fournette

wouldn't say it's highly unlikely though. The buzz I've been hearing is that the front office is completely sold on Leonard fournette. Could be a smokescreen though

I will be pissed if we trade up at all. Stay at 8 and take either McCaffrey or Howard.

I'll be praying for a QB run and some how Solomon Thomas falls to us. Gotta dream.. I would be happy with Allen as well

Unfortunately to move from 8 to a top 3 pick, the cost is what I listed according to most draft trade charts. #8, #64, and #98 would be short about 450 points (roughly pick #45)

The defender I want the most is Jamal Adams tbh. Our secondary would go from embarrassing last year to being sort good this year.

CB: Bradberry (looking like he'll be a top 15 corner)
NB: Captain (solid nickel)
SS: Adams (beast)
FS: Coleman (good at FS)
CB: Worley (improved a lot last year as time went on)

omgggg that would be sick.

I'm aware. However, the draft pick value chart is dated. Recent trades, aside from those for QBs, really haven't yielded massive return. Back in 2013 Miami jumped from 12th to 3rd for a 2nd. There's no QB we're after. After the top-3 blue chip defenders, none of these players are even worth trading up for at all.

Teams are going to find trouble trading back if they're expecting more than a 2nd and a late pick.

I don't normally do this, I don't like "switching camps", but at this point, i'm 100% sold on McCaffrey at 8 and I am totally comfortable if we pass on Thomas for him. Blows my mind that I feel that way, but the kid's going to be special.

Gettleman is doing a presser at 11am on Friday.

Exciting. He is pretty forthcoming during pressers.

Happy with R1/R2:
OJ Howard/Kamara
McCaffrey/Trade up NJoku
Adams/Kamara
Thomas/Kamara
Fournette/Trade up NJoku
Barnett/Kamara
Jonathan Allen/Kamara

Trade down:
Corey Davis
NJoku

Not long to go.

Schedule leaks coming out.....
We open at SF. I like that. It's our only west coast trip.
Home opener week 2 vs BUF. McDermott returns.
We close the season @ATL. Maybe for the division?

Here's the full schedule

@ 49ers (4pm) W
vs Bills W
vs Saints W
@ Patriots L
@ Lions W/L
vs Eagles (TNF) W
@ Bears W
@ Bucs W/L
vs Falcons W
vs Dolphins (MNF) W
Bye
@ Jets W
@ Saints L
vs Vikings W/L
vs Packers W/L
vs Bucs W
@ Falcons L

The toughest stretch happens in December. Thankfully we are historically good then. MNF against Miami is interesting and we have yet another primetime game against the Eagles, both at home. Bye isn't until week 11 as we prepare for the tough final stretch. Opening against two rookie coaching staffs which probably annoys Rivera, though hopefully we know enough about Kyle Shanahan and Sean McDermott by now to start with two wins.

Seeing us going 9-7 or better. I pray that is good enough for a playoff spot. I really think we are better than we are last year after bringing in some of the vets like Peppers, Adams, Captain, and Kalil. Now we just need to have a draft that hopefully gives us some offense (plz Christian McCaffrey and a trade up for Howard or Njoku if they slip).
