Makes sense. Sterling Shepard looks like a star in the making for them and it doesn't make sense to keep a 3rd receiver at that price tag.

Knew it was coming, but still makes me sad. He was absolutely incredible in 2011 and is an awesome guy. Gonna miss him.

He didn't fit in our offense anymore though. He's strictly a slot receiver at this point and Shepard is our slot receiver now. A very good, young, cheap one as well. We tried to play him as the #2 receiver but he just wasn't effective there. Any team in need of a veteran slot receiver shouldn't think twice about picking him up. I'll always be a fan. Hope he find success wherever he goes, as long as it isn't in the nfc east :p

The only decent receiver the eagles have is Mathews, and he's only good from the slot. Cruz won't succeed in philly.

He does? Question

I was going to say the same thing. With the amount of attention Beckham commands on every single play, I was waiting for him to put up some really big numbers and it just didn't happen. The 8 TD's are nice though.

This surprised me as well. Sheppard has less then 100 yards more than Cruz but more targets and twice as many receptions.

Have to think that the Pats take a look at him.

He will always be a Giants legend because he came out of nowhere and greatly contributed during the 2011 SB run.

Duchey. If you are going to insult a guy for honoring his DEAD grandmother, at least do him the courtesy of spelling it right.
