It seems with every passing day that the Bears are not going to get a long term deal done with Jeffery and it is now starting with the beat guys that he will not be tagged.

Today on Twitter it was mentioned that the Eagles and 49ers are lurking.

If Jeffery does decide to leave what are some possible scenario's for replacing him?

Tyrelle Pryor-is getting tagged

Pierre Garcon- was mentioned as being interesting to the Bears on twitter

Desean Jackson- doubt he passes Fox's off field/love football test

Kenny Still-an option I love, but the Saints dumped him for nothing because of work ethic doubt Pace is interested.

Not inspiring

So, i have to ask: Is Kevin White basically a right off at this point?

With the cap we will have after cutting Jay and Royal (along with possibly Massie and Houston) we should not let him have the option to walk.

At worst he should be franchised and traded, but just letting him walk when there is almost no chance of a compensatory pick this year would just be stupid.

Hell I'd see if the Browns liked him more than Pryor before just letting him go. Might be able to trade them and at least get one talented player re-signed.

I think a lot of people are writing Kevin White off, yeah. Two consecutive years of not factoring him into the equation gets stuck in people's heads I think. White still has elite potential, #1 WR potential. It all hinders on his rehab, he seems to have that positive drive and desire which is half the issue with these guys coming back from injuries.

If you want to replace his production in free agency you're screwed.

Ok, where is this supposed info that the Bears aren't planning on resigning him? Pace seemed like he was going to do anything he could to get a deal done.

My point is you can find a franchise guy like [Derek] Carr in every draft

I wouldn't completely rule out a new deal just yet but I've resigned myself to the fact that Jeffery will probably not be back. I don't agree with it but I have accepted it.

As for potential replacements, I don't see any one out there who can replace him.

Pryor is definitely intriguing. Maybe the Bears make an under the radar type of signing in a guy like Robert Woods, who played with Barkley in college.

Also, don't rule out a Marquess Wilson return.

Other than that they may have to look to the draft.

I'm ruling that out. He in no way, shape, or form, can be relied on to be on the field.

I don't get the sense Alshon wants to play in Chicago. Along with his injury history, that's probably enough reason for the Bears to try to move on.

I doubt they'll let him walk, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him tagged and traded for picks.

I think Stills is a good free agent option. If the Bears can get some picks for Alshon, they can use them to draft one of the better WRs or TEs from this year's deep class.

Yep, I'm not writing him off though. Hell he is guaranteed his total deal, and at a worst case scenario Jeffrey - White - Meredith give a young signal caller a lot of speed and size to work with, he just has to find the mismatch.

In an offseason where we will have $70M in cap room Pace letting Jeffery go in FA to see a downgrade to Kenny Stills or an aging career #2 in Garçon over $1-2M per year, TOPS, would be just unbelievably asinine.

In my world he is.

Raw prospect who has missed 2 seasons.
