Ian Rapoport
✔@RapSheet

#Redskins LB Zach Brown signed a 1-year deal worth a maximum value of $4.65M, source said. $500k signing bonus. Not bad this late in FA.

This one makes me incredibly upset.

I like the new uniforms too. The away uniform just looks better than what we had, and I like removing the black. The throwbacks look slick too even if they're very similar to what we've already seen.

If the color rush thing has to continue then ours aren't terrible either.

I love the all silver color rush uniform. And I'm so glad they got rid of the Matt Millen black. The uniforms look updated yet true to the original Lions pre-Millen.

According to the New York Post's Brian Costello, a fourth-round pick is "about as much" the Jets can hope for in exchange for DE Sheldon Richardson

I wouldn't mind trading a 4th for him.

When discussing quarterback Matthew Stafford entering the final year of his contract last week, Lions General Manager Bob Quinn noted how hard it is to find a good quarterback while saying that they’d like to have Stafford in Detroit for the long term. The feeling is mutual, as Stafford spoke to reporters in Detroit on Tuesday and said that his goal is to reach agreement on a deal that would have him wearing the Lions’ new uniforms until they’ve become a familiar look.

Stafford: “I would love to. I’ve had a really good time playing here, would like to be here long term.”

I sort of want to see how Stafford would play on a contract year.

He has an 8M dollar cap hit this year and he's a FA next year. I don't think we have the space for it. He would have to be extended and do we want to extend a guy who we don't know will work out on our team and only had 1.5 sacks last year?

I keep seeing us linked to David Njoku. While TE is certainly a position of need, I don't think that most of us see it as one of the team's top needs. How huge will the backlash be if this team drafts another first round TE?

I would definitely not be a fan of that pick but in the same breath Quinn has done nothing but gain my trust. So whatever direction we go I will have faith in his vision.

I will be livid. Njoku is a great TE and will be a very good player for some team, but I pray that we are not that team. Our offense is sufficient outside of another bruising RB which I still would not take in the first round. We need defense and this draft is picture perfect for what we need. We couldn't ask for a better draft as far as talent vs need. To ignore that to add another first round TE would be absolutely horrendous.
