Does Mario Williams have enough left in the tank for an Andre Carter-in-2011 type season? I don't remember hearing his name at all last year.

Mario Addison retained by Carolina. He was going to make FA interesting, he isnt a big name but is on the verge of being one. It also almost guarantees Short gets the tag.

He was outright bad last year. How much of that was scheme fit and utilization, I'm not sure. I don't think he would give you anything that Sheard/Long couldn't

I'm surprised nobody mentioned bringing in Nick Mangold yet. Kick the tires and provide some competition to Andrews. Or is he done?

I think his tank is more or less on E

Alshon will not be tagged by the Bears.

Any chance the Pats take a look see at him if the numbers are right?

The numbers can't possibly be right. WR is the one spot on the roster that can sit tight while TE, OL, DE, DT, LB, CB, S and even QB are up in the air and potentially in flux.

Andrew Hawkins released by Cleveland. Not saying we should sign him, but he'd certainly help our return game..

He'd also be a good candidate to take over Amendola's spot in the receiving corps if he's let go.

Doubt they bring in a veteran replacement for Andrews. They really like Andrews so if they upgrade, it will be through a rookie

I like Hawkins a lot, but he'll get too much attention to signed as a 5th/6th option. A WR needy time will sign him up to start out of the slot, maybe the Ravens.

I can't think of any FA return specialists on the market. Mariani was released by the Bears during the season, but he's not been the same since he broke his leg.

Doubt the team replaces Cyrus Jones as a returner for next year unless it's another rookie or internal option. A veteran returner being added seems very unlikely unless it's a camp fodder type

They typically bring in camp body WR's, it wouldnt be surprising to see one of those guys be a return specialist as well.

Agreed but it will be someone who has virtually no shot at making the 53 man roster
