We are meeting with Dan Feeney this week. Really liking that the new regime has been focused on improving both offensive and defensive lines through FA and hopefully with the draft.

Not entirely true, Chad Kelly is in this draft, but I see everyone passing on him about 3 times.

I think it'll be far more than 3 times...at best I don't see him getting drafted until rounds 6 or 7...and wouldn't be shocked at all if he's an undrafted free agent.

With you on this Forge. I don't see him being a franchise QB either. He's got an arm, but makes some terrible decisions both on and off the field.

I see a lot of talent that has to be harnessed first. Like, he's not a passer, he's more a thrower. He tosses the ball more than he places it, and was lucky enough to have WRs that were superior than the opposing secondaries he faced. He has mobility, but not really pocket presence. I see some Romo in him. But I also see a lot of out-of-the-NFL-right-after-camp in him as well. With all the uncertainty about his football talents, the fact that he has character issues and pretty big medical red flags at this point, I just don't see as deserving to be drafted. But I do see a team taking him in the seventh, so they don't have to try to bid for him as an UDFA.

If we trade into the 12-18 range. Who do you guys like more between Njoku and Howard?

Howard...by a decent margin. I think Njoku is a lot of projection. Tremendous upside, but I don't think that he comes in and lights the world on fire. I think his first year is essentially a redshirt TE2 season. I think Howard is plug and play as a legit starting NFL tight end.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Engram ends up being the best of the bunch when it is all said and done. I haven't made my final mock yet, but good chance I go Engram in the 2nd and Witherspoon in the 3rd.

Like that draft a lot already.

On a side note, read something on rotoworld or somewhere about Corey Davis likely going in round 2 now. Of course purely speculation from that authors POV but used lack of interest pre-draft wise, lack of testing measurables as well as "nothing special" in regards to skills, sort of a jack of all trades, master of none type of deal. I believe they were quoting what they heard from scouts.

You know at first I thought the same, but the more I watch Njoku the more I think as a blocker he's pretty capable. He'd pair well with Vance if they were both on the field together. But the biggest reason is that Njoku still just 20 Shocked

I also really like Cole Hikutini over many like Leggett, Roberts, and Jonnu Smith.

Kittle is good, but he's no Engram.

No, definitely not. But I really like him in that third / fourth round if we bypass TE in the first few rounds.

A WR I like more than most in this draft class than others is Amara Darboh. And we could get him around the 3rd or 4th.
