Hi guys,

I'm going to be compiling a list of the top 20 players in the NFL who appear poised for superstardom and I'm soliciting opinions from every fanbase to nominate a player from their team.

Please discuss the possible players to nominate here. Make a poll if you must.

I'll also need one or two of you to provide quotes explaining why you think this player is a future star in the league, and possibly some videos or gifs of highlights, if available.

A couple of rules for inclusion, however:

1. The player must be on his rookie contract.
2. The player must not have been selected to any Pro Bowls or received any other league awards.

Thanks for your help!

I can really only think of two on our team, those being Rashard Robinson at CB who has the frame, athleticism and demeanor to become a great CB and DeForest Buckner showed very promising against the run making plays and recording 6 sacks being a disrupter on both fronts.

Simple, DeForest Buckner.

Yep, pretty much starts and stops here, I think.

Could use some more information on Buckner. What are his main strengths? What were some impressive/crucial plays he made during the season? Whom does he compare to among more established stars?

There are no crucial plays when you go 2-14

I think both him and Armstead drew comparisons to Calais Campbell coming out, and if he can become that 10 sack per season guy for us I'd be more than happy with that.

IF Armstead reaches the same level, I'd be ecstatic.

Totally agree that I would be ecstatic if it happens. Buckner obviously has the better shot, but both have a lot of talent and can climb high in the right scenario.

To the original poster, Buckner is pretty much the only one on this team that will qualify, but to save you time, I think you'll find yourself 20 other players around the league ahead of him on the breakout track. Buckner had an excellent rookie season and made the all-rookie team, but many others on that team are on a faster track to superstardom. Buckner has the distinction of playing an unsexy position on a terrible team, so...
