Hi guys,

I'm going to be compiling a list of the top 20 players in the NFL who appear poised for superstardom and I'm soliciting opinions from every fanbase to nominate a player from their team.

Please discuss the possible players to nominate here. Make a poll if you must.

I'll also need one or two of you to provide quotes explaining why you think this player is a future star in the league, and possibly some videos or gifs of highlights, if available.

A couple of rules for inclusion, however:

1. The player must be on his rookie contract.
2. The player must not have been selected to any Pro Bowls or received any other league awards.

Thanks for your help!

So basically our 2 best rookies, Who are our 2 best players, can not count because they have already made the Pro Bowl.

Well then I nominate David Irving DE for a breakout year next year.

What can you tell me about Jaylon? What are his best attributes? What were some plays he's made that stood out? Any highlight film?

Maliek Collins - 5 sacks - 15 pressures.

I believe Dallas hit a HR with Collins. Missed all of TC and was starting by week 3 and never relinquished role. Don't recall him ever looking out of place and seen a few instances where he looked dominant.

few clips here where he flashed his ability.

Surprised you or Slam wouldn't go Byron Jones.

It would all be college film...since he didn't play a single down last year.

A whole highlight reel.

Out of all the players on the Dallas Cowboys who have not been to the Pro Bowl, you'd have to think that Jaylon Smith easily has the best chance of being a superstar. He was likely a top-10 pick last year if he hadn't injured his knee in his bowl game.

La'el Collins is another decent choice. He didn't look great this year before getting hurt, but his highlights are as good as they come for a guard. Will be a starter again this year.

From behind enemy lines, David Irving looks like a STUD to me.

I agree with WH, that Maleik Collins is the guy you're looking for. He will be the next star, But I'll pimp Anthony Brown.

Brown:
Quote:
The Boilermakers had one of the worst pass defenses in college football in 2015, but Brown shouldn't be blamed for that performance. He intercepted four passes on the year (the first four of his career), breaking up six others (giving him 19 in three years as a starter). One of Brown's strengths is his tackling ability (110 in 2014-2015), as he's willing to throw his body into a play. Combining good athleticism with some physicality makes Brown a potential special teams contributor and reserve corner at the next level.

ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS Patient footwork from press coverage. Consistent and effective in zone coverage. Plays with plus field awareness and overall intelligence in space. Solid in bail coverage with balancing eye work between receiver and quarterback and maintaining proper spacing. Diligent against play-action possibilities near goal line. Has hands to finish with the interception when opportunity arises. Finished with 10 passes defensed in each of the last two years. Provides value in special teams coverage. Showed blistering closing speed at combine.

4.35 combine time. 2nd fastest of all CBs. On a HORRIBLE college team, and was overlooked because of that. Drafted in the 6th round, but played lights out. Played outside, and inside, and eventually Orlando Scandrick(our longest tenured CB) found himself watching the rookie CB from the sideline. Brown was matched up at times with AB, and OBJ13. He never looked out of place. My favorite part about the speedy Brown is that he is a willing and solid tackler. Probably the best tackler in our secondary besides SS Barry Church. Mo, Scan, Carr, and Byron Jones just aren't hitters, but Brown seems to know how to lay a pop.

He wasn't perfect but for a rookie 6th round pick CB, he was great, and in my mind makes the potential loss of Carr and Mo easier to deal with. He will likely be a starter for us next year and could be a break out player.

Defensive lineman: Maliek Collins, Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys DL Maliek Collins proved to be effective as a pass rusher from the Dallas interior defensive line. Averaging 4.28 seconds from snap to sack, Collins recorded the fastest average time to sack among rookie interior defensive linemen and was also 5th among all interior pass rushers in fastest average time to sack.
