Salt mode engaged for Newton and Ryan having MVPs despite not being anywhere near the QB Brees has been for his career.

I mean they both deserved it in the year that they won it but I'm still salty. Rodgers just had to have the best season ever in 2011 huh.

Eh. As of now only Brees is a HOFer. He has that. For now at least.

This can't possibly be an autocorrect for Asante Samuel.....

Well deserved. Absolutely 100% the best QB of the 2016 NFL Season. The 9.26 YPA is absolutely amazing.

Congrats, Matty Ice.

He got 25 of the 50 votes.

Brady came in 2nd place.

Elliot and Carr came in 3rd/4th with a couple votes each.

Your guy is a HOF lock and has a ring though.

Eh, MVP is pretty meaningless. Brees' legacy doesn't change a bit with or without a league MVP IMO. Although I'm curious, how many HOF QB's are there that didn't win an MVP?

I know, which is why I'm not super salty. Just slightly. Laughing I would just rather the HOF, ring, SB MVP, AND MVP, you know? I'm greedy. Laughing

Blame it on Sean Payton never giving that man a defense year after year after year after year. It's an absolute crime. I've never seen a franchise rely on one player to get a championship so much.

The only year they had a good defense was the year they won the Super Bowl. And I wouldn't say that was a "stout" defense by any means. Just a very very opportunistic defense.

Better Defenses = Less .500 Records = More years Brees is eligible for MVP.

In the modern era: Troy Aikman, Dan Fouts, Bob Griese, Sonny Jurgensen, Bobby Lane, Warren Moon, Bart Starr, and Roger Staubach.

Fouts, Griese, Moon, and Starr won non AP MVP awards if you want to count those.
