Anybody thinks that if we had beat GB we would've took out Atlanta in the Championship game?

Man Atlanta was a half away from what could've been one of the more dominating super bowl runs in history.

And that's because Atlanta had ZERO commitment to the running game.

That didn't help. But...and someone will have to help me confirm, but I swear I seen multiple snaps with 15-20 sec left on play clock by Atlanta. They offered no help whatsoever to D.

As much as I did not want the Pats to win... I gotta say it was a real treat to watch Goodell getting booed and looking like a complete idiot giving the trophy to Kraft.

Mind boggling. Dumbest 4th quarter play calling that we've seen in a long, long time.

Sadly, I think JG would have done the same damn thing up 28-3.

They would've smoked us. We don't rush the passer.

not unless our offense sustains long balanced drives. Which I believe we would have done. Enough to win, we will never know now. Sad

Linehan calls the plays, but I agree. It's hard for a guy who loves to pass like Linehan to call runs. He has no history of being anything other than a QB or WR coach.

It's only bad when another teams coach does it though.

Idaho (1989–1990)
Wide receivers coach

Nevada–Las Vegas (1991)

Idaho (1992–1993)
Offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach

Washington (1994–1995)
Wide receivers coach

Washington (1996–1997)

Louisville (1999–2001)

Minnesota Vikings (2002–2004)
Offensive coordinator & wide receivers coach

Miami Dolphins (2005)
Offensive coordinator

St. Louis Rams (2006–2008)

Detroit Lions (2009–2013)
Offensive coordinator

Dallas Cowboys (2014)
Passing game coordinator

Dallas Cowboys (2015–present)

Linehan would be/was perfect in the Tony Romo friendly offense. He's a hold over. If Romo goes Linehan needs to go with him. Our identity needs a smashmouth coach. Not a cutesy WR coach.

But yeah, stupid ATL.

"Just run the damn ball!" Seems like that will be the slogan for the 2016 season. I'm glad it's officially over.

I knew Atlanta was in trouble at the end of the 3rd quarter when they took the 5 yard penalty on that punt just to get into the 4th quarter.

By doing that they clearly tipped their hand. They basically told N.E. : We have no interest in scoring anymore, we want to get into the 4th quarter and kill the clock.

That gave Brady just enough of a window to mount a legit comeback.

I even said: "If New England comes back and wins this game, it will be because Atlanta was not aggressive enough in the 4th quarter."

And, I couldn't agree more about not running the ball. WTH!!!! WHY do teams with great running games get away from them when they need them the most???

Dal vs G.B. NFC Divisional. How many times SHOULD we have run the ball on 3rd and short??? 2nd and short???

WHY would Atlanta pass when they were already in FG range in the 4th???

Oh well, its over now.
